The overall design and decor was absolutely stunning. Everything was super clean, all the staff was very very nice and helpful and the vibe at the lobby during the night was amazing. They also prepared a super nice welcome drink for us in the room since they were informed we were celebrating our engagement. That was a beautiful and thoughtful gesture form their side that made us love he experience even more.

It is ideally situated with easy access to the old city, and University Hospital. In a quiet area with good restaurant's and public transport. Easy accessible parking in close proximity to the hotel. Beautiful hotel by the harbor with a great tapas restaurant. It’s also a lovely spot for drinks with good music and a great vibe. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Our two-year-old had a wonderful time as well. The staff is especially kind to children. The hotel smells amazing and is beautifully decorated. We had a room with a view of the water, which was just stunning. You can also book yoga in the morning, which we unfortunately didn’t get to try, but it’s a nice option! We would love to return.

    Pool very nice (we used the indoor one, but they also have two outdoor ones!). Staff very friendly and accommodating - hotel does not have a “Ruhetag” (important as the location, while lovely, is rather remote) but has a more restricted menu & hours one day a week instead. We were there on this day, but there was still sufficient choice and the waitress prepared some ice cream for us after the kitchen had closed, despite being very busy.

    Center of Nuremberg was almost leveled in WW2.

    Center of Nuremberg was almost leveled in WW2. The postwar reconstruction of buildings mostly created replacement buildings in a bland style, though the street layout remained. The churches were very well restored. I liked nearby Bamberg better on a day trip from Nuremberg. (45 minutes by Regional Bahn train.)

    I loved the long shopping precinct along Hauptstrasse. It was a pedestrian only street. It had many restaurants and eateries apart from specialty shops. The castle was also beautiful to visit. Although there were so many people it felt homey.

    Definitely recommend to take the tram for sightseeing. The tram tickets are easily obtainable at the vendor machines at almost every Haltestelle for everyone’s convenience. Hop on and hop off as you please, there is plenty to see. To me, the central city cobblestone streets with the tram passing through reminded me of Bulgarian capital city of Sofia very much. Worth a visit!

    Our highlight was a visit to Schloss Seehof which we reached by bus, using the Bamberg card. Really informative guided tour of the restored interior of the castle and the gardens including an impressive water cascade were impressive.

    We’ve been there before and always enjoy visiting. It’s a beautiful and historic medieval town that is protected by a double ring of fortifications upon which you can walk. Not far from the Frankfurt airport. Incredible views, great restaurants and shopping. In a word: MAGICAL! And the food of this region in Germany is fantastic!

    We were taken to at least two eating places: One near the train station; The Curry House Restaurant where I had a taste of Pork and another restaurant, southern end of FAU Institute, we had very tasty Pizza. Getting around Erlangen is quite easy considering affordable buses are all over the place. Next time I would avoid moving around the city by taxi instead of buses

    Plenty of Oriental food outlets also hairdressers and men's barbers....only one Italian restaurant to be found. Lots of Chinese restaurants couldn't find traditional German restaurants. Which was a shame.

    This is Mecca for Wagner fans in July and August. The acoustics of the Festspielhaus are superb and unique--no other place achieves that blend of voice and orchestra. Bayreuth is a charming, real town--nothing kitschy or twee about it. Several good restaurants; and everyone stays open late to accommodate festival goers.

    A surprising big-little city outside Nürnberg with a rich history. Architectural highlights from Art Deco. Walkable. Some beautiful churches. US army base has been re-purposed as a sort of yuppy neighborhood. Major park contains a coffee shop to watch the locals. Look for the Florentine tower in the city center.

    If you have business in Mannheim, I would recommend not...

    If you have business in Mannheim, I would recommend not staying in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Sure they are only separated by the Rhein river but things could have been much easier in my case if I had found property in Mannheim. Do not take my word for it though, try it for yourself.
