I absolutely love the location and the hotel. Nice place for a weekend or just escape from the routine. The rooms are cosy and have special atmosphere. The restaurant downstairs serves good breakfast and has a delicious fish and wine for dinner.

    I have become a regular here, I just enjoy staying here so much! This place is family-owned and they know how to make their guests happy. Rooms are spacious, suitably equipped, well maintained and clean. Beds are comfortable, the mattress feels just right. Breakfast is a buffet of typical German specialities. Staff is kind and welcoming, and are happy to fulfil reasonable special requests. The restaurant is worth special mention. Tasty, plentiful Bavarian dishes are served for dinner accompanied by good local beer. There are always many locals also visiting, which tells something. Coming on Thursday I couldn't have missed pork knuckle, a Thursday special. And I couldn't resist coming here again just for dinner while on an excursion from Prague to Bavaria! New generation has been gradually taking over management and they have kept the atmosphere of the place, very important!

    Fichtelberg is surrounded by beautiful forests, with clearly defined walks to follow, using the maps in the accommodation. Favourite places were Fichtelsee, a large lake within walking distance with boating etc and a very good restaurant.

    A small town with 3,300 population or so.

    A small town with 3,300 population or so. Located 650 m above sea level. Very quiet and very nice. Located at the lake with nice walking passes so good for hiking. If the one to visit the town as such 1-2 days will be enough but we have stayed in the resort nearby so we spent a week :)

    What a beautiful city of Selb, nestled into the countryside in Bavarian region. So quiet and welcoming. Very comfortable stay, and would definitely recommend staying here. I will be back to enjoy this property again.
