This was an absolute gem! The beautiful old building had so much character and was in a super location in the old town. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The facilities were very clean. The room was really nice and spacious. The breakfast was another level, I have never seen anything like it! My mouth still waters at the memory! I highly recommend this hotel.

This place had a large, cute restaurant and patio. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was also large. The staff were super friendly and kind, and I really enjoyed the German breakfast. It made for a very good day. They have great beer on tap, which I enjoyed on the patio.

We traveled all over Europe (France, Belgium, Holland, Germany about 4000 km) and this accommodation was absolutely TOP. TOP rooms with perfect equipment, entrance to the garden with seating, absolutely perfect breakfast with an incredibly wide range of everything. In the evening, a pleasant stay in a restaurant with a good beer with great and friendly service. And all this for standard German prices.

    Gottingen is a lovely town and very easy to negotiate.

    Gottingen is a lovely town and very easy to negotiate. We drove from Frankfurt and there was plenty of parking everywhere including near the university and city centre. There are a diverse range of restaurants and shops in the city. Plenty of places to sit out and have drinks, ice cream of coffee and people watch.

    It was a business trip and I was there only for some hours.

    It was a business trip and I was there only for some hours. Most impressive was the place of the destroyed Synagogue and the old buildings in the city. I was there to preach at the Christ Embassy Church and the people were really friendly and kind. So I was picked up and brought back to my hotel after the service and had to travel immediately

    We had good weather, and we followed the 'tourist trail' set...

    We had good weather, and we followed the 'tourist trail' set up by the local tourist information office - see free maps and info boards in various locations. You can walk the whole town, much of it traffic free, but also it seems to be accessible to cars and certainly by bus. The railway station is 'off centre' - we only saw signs to it. As well as the obvious Pied Piper link there are many characterful sights and good shopping, both chain stores and independent shops. And the river adds more opportunities for enjoyment. If you want to do a river trip then you will probably need to allow half a day or so.

    An lovely and interesting old town, well worth a visit.

    An lovely and interesting old town, well worth a visit. It has connections by rail to Kassel for Willhelmshohe and to other towns in the area. We particularly enjoyed Allendorf, another lovely old town, which appeared to have only 'fachwerk' houses, and also a church with a great cafe and beautiful garden.

    Minden is a lovely hidden gem.plenty to do and the bars and resturaunts do not dissapoint.location is great .a short drive to bad oyen hausen or porta for sopping.hameln and about an hour to exostein and herman monument.hanover is less than an hour and can be accessed by train.

    Only a couple of parking spots * The beds are terrible. My partner and I both had a sore back from the mattrass and the pillows are so thin you need to ask for a second pillow! * For German standards the breakfast is simple * When checking in the lady from the reception did not speak English and when we left no questions asked like how was your stay. Just sign-off and be on your way. * The swimmingpool is very small...maybe only ok for little children. * Interiour hotel and room outdated/old fashioned

    I was only in the charming historical part of the time.

    I was only in the charming historical part of the time. There were few cars and a very free feeling as people were on foot and riding bicycles. I could go everywhere I wanted to go on foot. However, I never came across a city map which could have kept me from getting lost. The buses were very quiet. The cuisine was varied and well-prepared. I ate all my meals in the Gao Indian restaurant on Kurze Geismar Strasse because it was the best Indian restaurant I have ever experienced. I didn't visit any sites because I was doing research in the university's archives.

    Hildesheim is a lovely place full of friendly people...

    Hildesheim is a lovely place full of friendly people excellent cafes and restaurants and simply a feeling of relaxation. On our two trips to watch the invaders American football team we have been lucky to coincide with a wonderful Craft fair in the Magdalene Gardens and then a music festival on the second weekend. We didn’t go looking for either event they just seemed to find us!

    We went to Hameln for the Christmas market, it did not disappoint. We loved the mix of stalls and the atmosphere. It was really festive. The Old Town is very pretty. We ate very well there. I would suggest a visit to the Pfannekuchen Hameln for pancakes in a cute old building with beams and character. We used a couple of bars and cafes and each time the food was great. The town is very walkable, it is pedestrianized and flat. Should be accessible for wheelchair users. It is a small place so a two day visit is probably sufficient.
