The staff here are so accommodating and incredibly friendly. Food is absolutely delicious we chose to eat at the hotel often instead of eating out as it was that delicious! Location is perfect. Peaceful, and in the Valley of the King's in such powerful energies. Every morning you wake up to sunrise with the hot air balloons in the sky. Highly recommend staying here. I'm definitely coming back!

    We stayed at this beautiful place during our trip to Egypt, and it exceeded all our expectations! The hosts, Abdul and Islam, were simply exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with big smiles and a warmth that made us feel instantly at home. They were incredibly hospitable, full of joy, and always willing to go above & beyond to ensure we were comfortable & happy. Special mention must go to Abdul's incredible cooking skills, which were nothing short of extraordinary! The dinner he prepared for us on the felucca was one of the most memorable meals of our lives. Every dish was a masterpiece, made with fresh, local ingredients and so much care in every detail. The atmosphere on the felucca, with soft lighting and the serene view of the Nile, was simply magical. Also a very very wholeheartedly thanks to our friend Islam who was there every night to stay with us, have fun and discuss with us while he also helped us with his local knowledge and language skills. Incredible people! If you are looking for authentic Egyptian hospitality, unforgettable moments, and people who will leave a lasting impression on your heart, look no further!     We loved everything about Cleopatra Hotel! It was clean, cozy, and incredibly peaceful. The food was absolutely amazing, and the view was beyond stunning! You can watch the hot air balloons float up with the sunrise and from the rooftop, you get a clear view of the Valley of the Kings. But what really made our stay unforgettable was Mahmud. He was beyond incredible, always there for us, 24/7, making us feel completely at home. No matter what we needed, he was always happy to help, and he did it with the biggest smile. We honestly won’t forget our time here! I fully recommend Cleopatra Hotel, it is an absolute gem! If you have the chance, don’t miss out!

    We had a great stay at el Gezira garden hotel! We were hesitant to stay on the West Bank and we were proven wrong since that side of Luxor is more authentic and worth to stay. The apartment was really clean and super comfy, and the decor was cute and warm with a traditional touch. The staff was friendly and we loved spending time in the garden and on the adorable terrace. The hotel is definitely value for money and highly recommended!

    I thought Luxor temple was much better than the pyramids.

    I thought Luxor temple was much better than the pyramids. The taxi driver at the airport Mohamed, was very friendly and came back to collect us on time. There was a man with a horse carriage that was relentless and a liar for about 10 minutes, non-stop from the hotel to the entrance of the temple. We were the only ones walking the full avenue from Luxor temple to Karnak but it was worth it because it was peaceful and the guards were friendly. We would have liked to stroll at night time on the promenade but as soon as you were stepping outside the hotel, you were targeted by scammers. The hotel had good facilities, good food and a good swimming pool but it would have been good to enjoy a bit more freedom like in any other tourist destination.

    Luxor sites are great must see for travelers who loves ancient Egyptian sites. Many beautiful experiences. But unless you've got the a full time tour/handler, be prepared for the endless stream of people looking to siphon some of your pocket and time. We're 'do it yourself' kind of travelers and did so without serious issue; It takes street smarts and awareness. People generally are kind and warm and Luxor has a lot to offer. A driver/guide is essential for the West Bank sites though, many things to navigate and difficult without someone versed in the area and processes.

    Just a great city to visit All monuments ,valley of the kings,temples are all close by The people are great as well You do get the hassle But then you get that where ever you go I get to meet all sorts of people and nationalities Achti used to belong to the Sheraton group The standards have not changed in all the years I’ve been coming Look for mr zakaria in the restaurant he is very helpful with anything you need he speaks good English
