Beautiful fishing town with great bars and restaurants. Second visit here and can't wait to come back. 2hr drive for us from Orihuela Costa but well more the trip. Find hostel Loretto and you'll be on one of the most beautiful streets in the town. Calpe is a wonderful Seaside Town with plentiful accessible beaches, great Restaurants an easy to use Local Bus service, an easy to use Tram Service for easy accessibility to other Seaside Resorts but most of all. el campello has a nice beach and some very good bars and restaurants . Has a nice Spanish vibe to the place with the majority of people being local or Spanish tourists. The main part of the resort is of course the sea front where most of the bars and cafes are. The town has some lovely parks and tree lined avenues. Central Elche was easy to get into, the town is built on a grid system. We stayed near Placa Glorieta, a very interesting area with plenty of shops and a variety of good restaurants. Well worth a visit. I liked because it was central. I didn't like it not being promoted outside.Just a No. 3 . on the wall. I did find it difficult to locate. But to be fair, my booking was made in UK. Instructions for access were on my UK mobile. I travelled with both UK/Spanish Mobile. But after parking up and on foot I only had my Spanish mobile. So didn't see the instructions to access the Apartment Block. I know, my error. Speaking to locals, they were unaware of Rosada Maria. The Hostel was unmanned but i made telephone contact, and someone appeared 10 mins later. Who was very helpful and sorted me out. My fault, I know. Overall once sorted, I enjoyed my stay and would certainly recommend Rosada Maria. But knowing the procedure would be helpful.
