- From US$190.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 405 reviewsThe hosts were very friendly and helpful. Checked we had everything we needed. The house was clean and well equipped, ans in a beautiful setting. Our junior suite was directly opposite the amazing pool, so only about 10m. It had great (& quiet) aircon, needed as it was 39 degrees. The pool is like a beach theme so you can easily walk in, lay in to read and swim properly as well. It is an infinity pool with great views of the mountains. Our house had a terrace with dining table/chairs, relaxing chairs and a bed for sunbathing. We went as a three, my husband and 15 Yr old daughter so she slept on the sofa bed (which she said was very comfortable) Inside the rooms we're spacious and clean. There was enough to cook a little with 2 ring hob, microwave, toaster and coffee machine as well as a dishwasher. Manoli supplied water, milk and coffee plus delivered fresh bread every morning with butter, jam, olive oil and tomato paste for breakfast which was wonderful. All replenished if requested. The gardens and pool were cleaned and watered every day and were beautiful and well tended. There is a campsite next door with a lovely restaurant serving local food and pizza, which can be to take away too. Great place, and will definitely come back. Loved itGuest review byNickyUnited Kingdom
- From US$70.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 243 reviewsEverything! Absolutely stunning site, immaculate and warm bungalows which were modern and fully equipped. A quiet, peacefull site. We even extended our stay, which the staff made very easy and welcoming. The staff, especially Blanca and Maria, were so helpful with advising areas to visit and knowledge of surrounding areas. Even though we visited in the quietest part of the year, there was still so many activities to keep the kids entertained. WiFi was great and TV perfect. Food from the restaurant could be delivered straight to our door and was fresh and tasty. We will be back!Guest review byAlexaSpain

The jacuzzi after a long drive hit the spot! Beautiful views and great facilities We didn't stay the right time of the year for the pool so will need to go back! It was completely silent, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in and I going to look for the same bedding which was super cosy. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was lovely. The restaurant closed dinner before we arrived again next time!Guest review byFionaUnited Kingdom

Caceres is a lovely old mediaeval city, walled and interesting, but not too touristy. We will certainly go back, because there's more to see (even though it's a compact old town, there's a lot there). The bars and restaurants aren't a rip-off: we had a very good menu del dia for 17 euros - slightly more than one would pay in a village restaurant or a via de servicio, but we were on the Plaza Mayor, just below the city walls, and the food was excellent and very generous. The rest of the city has plenty of nice bars and restaurants as well.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Wow! Just so much to see. Surprised we hadn’t heard of Mérida until we were looking for somewhere to break our journey between Lisbon and Seville. One of the most walkable places we have ever been to. Loved it!Guest review byAndyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We did not have much time in the town but we spent a few hours and it seemed to be a great town. The town is very very clean, well looked after and we felt safe walking around the town. The squares are beautiful, the plants, flowers are gorgeous!! We ate a great meal at kebab closer to the hotel Sercotel Grand Hotel. We had delicious ice cream at Heladeria ‘Augustin Mira’… loved it. The hotel is really worth staying. Beds are comfortable and the place spotless! The breakfast is the best so far. Lots of options and variety of fruits, juices, cold meats, breads and there was butter croissants and chocolate croissants. Different options of cakes, including cupcakes and the coffee, the best!!Guest review byAna Leticia PylesIreland - 8.0

Plasencia is a small town, the centre has narrow hilly streets, parking in the centre is difficult but there is plenty of free parking near to the park with an escalator to take you up the steep hill to the centre. There are several supermarkets, a Carrafeur on the North side and several smaller supermarkets on the south side. There is a river running along the East side. There are many restaurants available, fast food near to the Carrafeur and more upmarket ones in the centre. Plasencia is at the foot of the Jerte valley, where most of the cherries in Spain are grown, you can drive to the top of the valley, which takes around an hour and is very scenic.Guest review byPhilipUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely city, well recommended.
Lovely city, well recommended. Good food generally and we found one superb restaurant. People tend to eat later than many areas so be aware of this. Plenty to do for a 2 night stay. Very interesting place.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Entering the city not exciting., but I didn’t want to stay in a big city of Seville ( I was going north Spain). 90 minutes from airport was just perfect to recover from jet lag. Plaza Mayor very pleasant- like most of the Spanish cities. Cobbled streets, small shops, cafes- add a nice atmosphere to the city.Guest review byElizabethUnited States - 10.0

Hotel lovely but surrounding cafe restaurants were a little shoddy, a sweep of the streets now and then could go a long way, not alot of variation. Nice shops selling local produce. Recommend Dalboroque lovely little bar selling craft beers and really nice wines get some tapa there too. Run by a lovely young lady named Jessica, well worth a visit and only 2 or 3 minutes from the parador on Calle Gregorio Lopez 3Guest review byMarionUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Hervás is a lively and charming little historic town, located in an area of stunning natural beauty, and conveniently located for travellers who are heading along, or across, the Ruta de la Plata highway in western Spain, not too far from the border with Portugal, at any time of the year. The town itself is very pedestrian friendly, full of culture with great restaurants, bars, shops and a great collection of sculpture and paintings in the Museo Perez Comendador-Leroux. The locals are really welcoming, the food and wine are fantastic, and it's the kind of place that gets under your skin and keeps you coming back again!Guest review byJamesSpain - 10.0
It is a city with a lovely centre.
It is a city with a lovely centre. It is easy to wander around and it has lots of monuments to visit. Its cuisine is worth mentioning; you must try Iberian pork, not just the typical ham, but other parts of the animal too. Were I you, I would find out about the restaurants; it is essential to choose the most suitable one, not for the price, but for the quality of the product.Guest review byGandulfoSpain - 10.0

Caceres is well worth a trip.Theres lots to see and much atmosphere to soak up.Nice friendly city/town with many nearby places worth a visit such as Truillo and Guadalupe......Actually the historic architecture in both Caceres and Truillo is something to write home about!..If your into nature there are literally scores of square Kms of wild flowers in the surrounding countryside thanks to light touch farming practises and this brings many insects which in turn bring many birds and other creatures...Definitely worth a trip is the national park in Monfrague so youll need to hire a car to get the best of that type of thing.Guest review bymichaelIreland
