- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,807 reviewsThe hotel is located on a promontory overlooking the entire valley - breathtaking! The facility is enormous and beautifully furnished. Our room had a balcony and we felt like we were on top of the world. The bathroom was huge and well lit. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. The room furniture was perfectly chosen, well maintained and inviting. Breakfast had everything and eggs could be cooked to order. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient.Guest review byMargaretLuxembourg
- From $92.67 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 5,190 reviewsPerfectly located for us as we visited Jaén, Baéza and Úbeda on a road trip through Spain. Situated just off the highway, beautifully landscaped with a breathtaking view of the mountains if your room faces south. Easy to find with GPS. Hotel and rooms are modern, beds comfy and shower amazing. Many choices at breakfast buffet. Loved everything about this hotel.Guest review byBonnieCanada
- From $83.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,193 reviewsThis is a lovely small complex of holiday homes. Very friendly staff, easy check-in. Rooms very clean, beds a bit soft for me, but that is subjective. The apartment was large but simple, but had all we needed for a short stay. Great breakfast, although staff could be quicker cleaning tables from guests who already finished, and refilling items which are out.Guest review byDanielFrance

We loved the nature, the river and the climate. The rooms were really nice and clean. The food was wonderful and the service was great. Especially the owner and Juan really made sure we had everything we needed. Everyday we were welcomed and served with a smile and we truly had a wonderful time.Guest review byPaulineNetherlands
- From $143.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 527 reviewsImpressive, old palace in a charming town. The building feels very authentic, unlike some other paradors in Spain remodeled in a “too contemporary”, generic fashion. Squeaky floors, heavy door key, original floor tiles remembering hundreds of years of Spanish history and an impressive indoor patio complete the unforgettable impression.Guest review byZodi54United States

The streets in the town centre are very narrow which are shared by pedestrians and cars and at times come too close for comfort. A number of the bars and restaurants are closed for a number of days during the week or some permanently due to lack of staff!! The food served in most places was Tapas, Raciones which were mainly very good if not too different from one bar to another. If you are sightseeing by car be prepared for challenging mountain roads and local rally drivers. The town has a lot of charm but as a natural reserve better not to be visited in the hot summer months.Guest review byJohnIreland - 10.0

Ubeda is such a beautiful town, and if you are there with friends and have some time you can really experience all it has to offer, mostly food, drinks and architecture. We didn't have the time to visit the olive farms, and see how olive oil is produced, definetly on the list if we ever return! Would highly recommend it if you are in the area!Guest review byJamesHong Kong - 8.0

Currently the town centre is undergoing major refurbishment work, making the lovely central square a building site. But the town has many excellent restaurants, and the local people are very friendly and welcoming. There is little else to do or see in the surrounding area, as this is the centre of the olive oil production, with millions of trees as far as the eye can see in every direction. The nearest other town is Ubeda but in our opinion, Baeza is more pedestrian friendly and is more historically interesting. The tourist train is a very pleasant way to see the town.Guest review byAnne MargaretSpain - 8.0

Linares is a typical Spanish town. There is not a lot to do here, but has an old lead mining history and just outside there is a very good Roman archaelogical site with mosaics etc at Castulo which was an unplanned and amazing find.Guest review byAngelaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I came with my sun to twitch the Iberian Lynx, we succeeded and saw 5 lynx, including a female with two cups. In the evening we spend some time in the city, we found some nice restaurants, the food is excellent and very cheap in relation with prices we pay in Holland.Guest review by54johanNetherlands - 10.0
The hosts Bev & John were wonderful.
The hosts Bev & John were wonderful. Their house is attached to the holiday accommodation but they never invade your privacy. If you do need them they are always available. Perfect. The accommodation is furnished well with all the equipment you will need. We were provided with a well stocked arrival pack. The terrace, gardens and pool are perfectly kept. The views are wonderful and as there is very little light pollution the night sky is outstanding. We loved it so much we’ve booked to go back next year. Thank you Bev and John for a great time.Guest review byJohnSpain - 10.0

This is a very comfortable apartment in this charming town.
This is a very comfortable apartment in this charming town. The only tourists seemed to be Spanish. Fascinating history including the bronze age fort in the valley and the wonderfully preserved Moorish castle. The whole town has paved and often narrow roads, and fortunately very little traffic. Marina is a thoughtful host. Try the local red wine. Cheap but delicious.Guest review byPeterAustralia
