Alicante is a fabulous town and I would recommend anyone to visit it. The transport is excellent, The restaurants are very good and not a rip off compared to some locations I have visited. The town beach is OK, but we chose to hop on the tram and visit San Juan Playa, which has a wonderful beach. Beautiful fishing town with great bars and restaurants. Second visit here and can't wait to come back. 2hr drive for us from Orihuela Costa but well more the trip. Find hostel Loretto and you'll be on one of the most beautiful streets in the town. I had such an amazing time staying here in Spain with my parents! The apartment was perfect—super clean, comfortable, and cozy. The room was spacious, and I loved how everything was so well thought out. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, making us feel like we were part of their family.
