Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. It was my birthday and without telling them they wished me happy birthday, left a gift on my bed and we came home to a bottle of cava and cake! We arranged parking which was a very convenient valet service and even got our car back with fresh bottles of water for our on going journey.

The location was great - just a short walk across the bridge to get to the old town. A pasteleria across the street served us well for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the fact that there was a shower instead of a tub/shower was much appreciated. And the woman working the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. They even had a man sitting at a nearby table who was there to give advice on what to see and do in Seville. We did not partake of his help but I thought it was great that he was there. I especially liked the parking garage (well-lit and clean). The spaces were big (no problem for Tesla Model Y) and it was easy in and out. The garage entry is around the corner from the hotel on a side street. Google-Map and in advance. Although it is a public garage, Eurostars has its own section off to the right. When you enter, there is a button to push (bottom of the display box) and the hotel will open the gate for their section of the garage. I asked just before we arrived if I could drive directly into the garage and then check in. They said yes so that is what I did. But once I was parked and we tried to go up to reception (on level 1, not 0), we couldn't get inside to the elevators because it requires a room key to activate the lock. I couldn't find an intercom button anywhere, or any other door. Luckily, a kind couple were heading up just as we were wondering what to do and they opened the door with their room key. So if you try to do as I did, ask the hotel in advance how you get up to reception once inside the garage, but before you have checked in.

The location of the hotel is great - walking distance into the wonderful town of Trujillo and with easy access to main roads. The staff are friendly and helpful although very little English spoken. We had two evening meals there which were fine although showing the usual Spanish absence of vegetables (chips with everything). The room was adequate although the bathroom could do with some work.

Gijon is a great city, and only €1.30 bus ride away, which takes about 20 minutes. Great rock ñ roll festival here every October. Grounds ate kept lovely. Facilities ate great. It was our fifth year here and always a friendly face from the barman. Note that the swimming pool closes at the end of September but the campsite is open all year.

Sevilla is such a beautiful city, full of stunning architecture, charming old buildings, and lovely open spaces like squares and parks. There’s a wide variety of restaurants and shops, and it’s just perfect to explore on foot, especially around the old town where you find a bit of everything. The city also has a river, and crossing over to Triana gives you a glimpse of a more local, residential side that’s just as charming. It’s easy to get around, people are friendly, it’s clean, and the weather was amazing. Definitely the kind of place you can return to many times and still discover something new each visit.

Very nice city. It isn't big and can be walked through. All districts that we visited were tidy, with good architecture and style. Really beautiful streets and architecture, traditional and modern at the same time. Recommend to visit: - San Francisco (central) park - not big, but proposes a good walk. - Catedral de San Salvador - it brings impression. Also nice walking around through older streets, whose squares are the centers of evening entertainment. - Oviedo Congress and Exhibitions Center - very impressive with its size and design. I was shocked encountering such a stylish giant in a city that small. - Sacred Heart of Jesus Monument - the monument itself is nice, but mostly interesting (at least for me) for its amazing view - the whole city can be observed from here, mountain views, your site can even reach the ocean and Gijon. Also there are several points of interest nearby moving back to the city. If you travel with a child, the playgrounds are also fine here. My daughter enjoyed zip lines a lot which are quite common here.

Rather nice city at the ocean shore.

Rather nice city at the ocean shore. The center is not too urbanistic, architecture is good. It is also not too big, it can be explored by foot, visiting all three beaches. The whole city can be crossed by a cheap bus. The views are great. Especially Playa de San Lorenzo and points around the Cerro de Sta Catalina. For those found of walking I also recommend visiting the Senda del Cervigón route. But I'll warn swimmers - take into account tides, waves and the water temperature.

Caceres is a lovely old mediaeval city, walled and interesting, but not too touristy. We will certainly go back, because there's more to see (even though it's a compact old town, there's a lot there). The bars and restaurants aren't a rip-off: we had a very good menu del dia for 17 euros - slightly more than one would pay in a village restaurant or a via de servicio, but we were on the Plaza Mayor, just below the city walls, and the food was excellent and very generous. The rest of the city has plenty of nice bars and restaurants as well.

If you are a fan of Gaudi's architecture , a lover of history, or a Camino Pilgrim, then this town is a must for a couple of days visit. The old city is easy to navigate on foot. The chocolate museum is also worthwhile if your time allows. If we were traveling by car then I think we should have liked to stay an additional night and explore some of the surrounding area. As it was we were slowly making our way by bus from Santiago de Compostella to fly out of Madrid after having walked the Portuguese Camino.

Plasencia is a small town, the centre has narrow hilly streets, parking in the centre is difficult but there is plenty of free parking near to the park with an escalator to take you up the steep hill to the centre. There are several supermarkets, a Carrafeur on the North side and several smaller supermarkets on the south side. There is a river running along the East side. There are many restaurants available, fast food near to the Carrafeur and more upmarket ones in the centre. Plasencia is at the foot of the Jerte valley, where most of the cherries in Spain are grown, you can drive to the top of the valley, which takes around an hour and is very scenic.
