This is an absolutely amazing hotel in Bilbao. The hotel is perfectly located in the old town of Casco Viejo and is a short walk to the metro and ideal to walk over the bridge to the new area of the city Abando where there is a vast selection of shopping and El Corte Inglés department store. The hotel is walking distance to all the small pinxto bars and sights of the old town.Ribera market with its fantastic selection of food stations our favourite is cervecería Arambarri for pintxo’s and drinks with a buzzing atmosphere. The interior of the hotel is comfortable with modern clean and comfortable rooms.Maid service daily and rooms left immaculate on our arrival each day. The bed is super comfy and the shower was fantastic. The staff are all very friendly,polite and courteous and nothing is to much trouble for them with any help or advice you need for your trip. We could not believe this hotel is not more than a 2* as it is worth a lot more in our opinion compared to another competitor we stayed at last year.At least a 4*! We will be back again that’s for sure. A great big thank you staff at Bilder Boutique 😊

I had an amazing stay at Garaiko Landetxea. It’s a beautiful accommodation. Modern, comfortable and situated in a quiet town surrounded by nature and magical views of the mountains. On top of that, the staff was brilliant. Jasone and Irune are very kind and go the extra mile. I was offered to lend Jasone her mountain bike since I wanted to do some cycling. They also provided a very good dinner on my arrival date. The breakfast was great as well and is prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. I was given good recommendations for my day trip to Bilbao as well as recommendations for places to eat in Durango. It was simply perfect. Would love to come back in the future!

    Beautiful city, lots to explore and a long weekend is doable but so much to explore, beaches only 35 minutes away on the metro. Great shopping a lovely bars, cafes and restaurants to explore. Get barik card travel so cheap. Card is €3 to buy and top up are minimum of €5, two travellers can get round the whole weekend on around €10 You can have up to 9 travellers on one card you just tap them in and then tap again.

    Great location, short trip to Ferry, Very good wifi in room, Max Centre very close for fast food, secure parking for my motorcycle from 11pm to 8am, I still recommend to use locks on your motorcycle like every other hotel. Friendly staff and easy checkin, Bar, breakfast cost 10 euro and well worth it. Room was quiet and large enough for solo or couple.

    Bermeo's main attraction is the harbour area where all the bars & restaurants are located and few steps walk up and you can see everything Bermeo has to offer. The part of Bermeo away from the harbour is mainly residential with tall towers, which we can say is the new extended Bermeo

    The beaches and harbour were lovely. It is well worth taking the gondola across the water to the local cafes and old town area. The promenade is long and makes wonderful walking by the sea. There are all kinds of games and water sports available. Getxo is a Spanish resort. Bars in town offer snacks (pintxo) with beer/wine etc. Restaurants are on the promenade reached by lift. Very little English is spoken except in the restaurants on the promenade.

    First of all Lekeitio is a very safe town. Walked a lot and always felt safe. It is the best little coastal town with beaches, bakeries, bars, restaurants, parking, grocery and other stores, within walking distance. We stayed at 20 Beheko Kalea and it was a perfect location - the port was about 4 minutes away. Didn't go into the water at the beach, but my grandkids did later this month and they totally loved it. We ate at the bar/restaurants by the port and we also ate at Restaurant Egana. All was great.

    The Museo de la Paz is impressive, a visit there cannot miss during the trip. For dinner it is necessary to book a tablet in advance, as per all the cities in the Basque Country. With the Eusko train you can reach in 30 minutes some villages on the coast such as Mundaka and Bermeo, very beautiful places. You can buy the Barik card to travel at a very low price on all kind of public transport in Bizkaya.

    Visited this quaint beach/surfer town in off-season and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very few foreign tourists. A couple nice tapas bars were open and filled with locals. Charming streets and views of the sea. Frequent, reliable train service available to other towns along the coast and all the way to Bilbao.

    Bakio is a terrific beach and surfing resort, but we didn't go for either of those. We went because it's close to Gaztelugatxe and there are some very good restaurants nearby. And a txakoli museum! Check it out!

    There’s a lot to see in Portugalete - plenty of information...

    There’s a lot to see in Portugalete - plenty of information at the Tourist Office. The nearest beach is just minutes away The hanging bridge (puente Colgante) is an extraordinary piece of engineering and is the most predominant feature here There’s a produce market - fruit/veg/flowers and plants three times a week. There are boat trips too but these only operate at weekends from 15 September We found a great Mexican restaurant in the old town
