- From US$205.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,645 reviewsIf you value comfort, this is the perfect place. Everything this hotel offered was top notch. We got an extremely spacious room, comfortably and fashionably furnished with our own mini kitchen, ironing board and all the other equipment that should be in such a place. The bathroom had all the cosmetics, including separate shampoo, body gel, conditioner, body lotion and hand wash. We came with a dog and got a special room, located at the entrance to the hotel on the other side (so we didn't have to go through the entire hotel to go for a walk). Another convenience was the private parking. The hotel is also located by the river and a nice place for longer walks, as well as near shops. However, the biggest advantage of this hotel is the food. Breakfasts are fantastic. Everything you could dream of is served, of the best quality. We also visited the restaurant and the dinner served to us also delighted us. Additionally, our dog received a bowl for the duration of his stay, a blanket and a small gift. Thank you very much for an incredibly successful stay. We will definitely return to this hotel next time in a larger group.Guest review byAnnaPoland
- From US$148.49 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 714 reviewsI'm giving this hotel a top review for several reasons...the airline lost our luggage and one of the women at the front desk (I think her name is Verra (sorry if I got it wrong!) actually called her husband at home to go pick up our luggage (we didn't have a car) and bring it to the hotel!!!! I find that EXCEPTIONAL service as well as care and compassion on the part of the staff. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. The location of this hotel is perfect...near the city center, great restaurants...walkable to everything and easy to walk to the places that offer excursions in Rovaniemi.Guest review byTeresaUnited States

Summer trip to Rovaniemi: Lapland was in a heat wave which held us back a bit as it was rather humid. We enjoyed Arktikum very much, went swimming in the river, walked in the Arctic Gardens and explored the town centre. We planned some hiking but it was hotter than we expected. At end of July, sunset around midnight for only a short time, which is cool.Guest review byLynleyNew Zealand - 8.0
Saariselka is a wonderland in winter.
Saariselka is a wonderland in winter. You can easily get all the required things such as food from K-market. There are lots of activities you can do in Saariselka such as skiing, snowshoeing, Ice Karting, bowling, Aurora Hunting tours, etc. You can easily reach here from Rovaniemi City by using public bus. There is a Ski bus that runs between Saariselka village and Saarselka Ski resort. I did my beginner ski lesson here. It was great. I spent my Christmas holidays here and most things are available to do. I did my skiing on Christmas day itself.Guest review byPankajIreland - 8.0

I do ski (downhill) but would not ski in Jan/early Feb in Levi because of the poor light. However it is a great village to visit and not ski if you like winter walking or other snow based activities. The restaurants are very good and characterful if you choose wisely.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Inari is a little place, surrounded by amazing forests and lakes. It is certainly a must if you want to get to know Saami culture better. It also perfectly fits for those, who like nature and long walks. Although it is small, you can find pretty many activities there - from taking a boat trip in Inari lake in the summer period, to visiting Side museum and doing northern light hunting in winter. PaPaNa pub is also a must to visit.Guest review byIrinaNorway - 10.0
Kilpisjärvi in winter is a magical experience.
Kilpisjärvi in winter is a magical experience. The village is located in the far north of Finland, in the heart of Lapland. It is a popular destination for winter activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. The area is also known for its stunning scenery, with snow-covered forests, frozen lakes, and the majestic Saana fell. One of the highlights of a winter trip to Kilpisjärvi is the opportunity to see the Northern Lights. The village is located in an area with minimal light pollution, making it an ideal place to view this natural phenomenon. The Northern Lights can be seen on clear nights throughout the winter, but the best time to see them is during the darkest months of December and January. Kilpisjärvi is also a great place to experience the Sami culture. The Sami are the indigenous people of Lapland, and they have a rich history and culture. There are several Sami villages in the area, and visitors can learn about the Sami way of life by visiting a reindeer farm or a traditional Sami market. Overall, Kilpisjärvi is a wonderful place to visit in winter. It is a great destination for those who want to experience the beauty of Lapland and enjoy a variety of winter activities.Guest review bySujoy GoswamiNetherlands - 8.0
Small town by the sea.
Small town by the sea. The icebreaker, SAMPO, is the attraction of the town. If you are not interested in sailing in the iced sea, walking on the iced sea and floating in the sea, you needn't come here. I bought some pretty clothes in a small shop in Kemi. How happy!Guest review byMs.China - 10.0
So great to watch the northern lights without any hassle.
So great to watch the northern lights without any hassle. Just above you while you are on bed or few steps from your cabin. Just install the northernlight alert app and go enjoy your stay within the premises , it will sent alerts for the area you’re in and that’s what we did. Realy great experience and so magnificent to see the dancing colorful northern lights . Breathtaking . The location is perfect away from the city however the city center is not too far only around 5-6 kilometers.Guest review byMohammadKuwait - 10.0

Ivalo itself was cute.
Ivalo itself was cute. Not too touristy, much quieter than places close by and everyone so friendly with a well stocked supermarket. Not too many places to eat but it depends what you’re looking for. As a young family, it was perfect for us!Guest review byJenniferHong Kong - 10.0
The ski resort was very nice.
The ski resort was very nice. Also, Amethyst mine was great to visit. I recommend to everyone! My norther lights hunting was not successful because of the weather, but I will try again. If I had more time, I would love to cross country skiing and visit the national park nearby. I wish I could try to eat more local food from Lapland. Oh well, next time :)Guest review byShirinRUnited States
