- From US$128.98 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 210 reviews. + private electric-heated sauna right in the private bathroom; + balcony, perfect for resting after sauna and cold shower (depending on outdoor temperature of course but great in mid of June); + reserved parking spot free of charge; + calm neighborhood an hour walk from city center; + very quiet despite a road and a bus stop just few meters from the windows; + ventilation system controlled from the kitchen hood also quiet and probably with heat exchanger; + it seems there is a central heating with several radiators too but we did not use it; + blinds (great for white summer nights); + nice, clean and large fridge; + 4 hobs and an oven, microwave including the plate cover, electric kettle, coffee maker and filters, perfect; + dishwasher and even the tablets - very useful and practical as there are several sets of plates and cutlery - just beware not to close the water (small lever on the kitchen-sink tap); + dishwashing liquid but unfortunately no sponge; + table and 2 chairs; + another 2 armchairs in front of the huuuge TV and a small coffee table; + fast internet connection both WiFi and RJ45; + 2 single beds with probably 10" mattress and a 2" memory foam cover (a bit soft for us but we got used to it while travelling across Scandinavia); + washing machine but unfortunately no drying rack other than some kind of towel hanger on the balcony which is always in shade. There is another place to put your laundry in front of the building (next to the trashbins) but is in shade too and taking into account how often it rains... + heated floor in the bathroom; + small hygienic shower next to the toilet with hot water (turn the wash-basin faucet on and press the lever on the shower); + walk-in shower with properly working thermostatic faucet;Guest review byHenry & RadkaCzech Republic

I would love to plan the trip differently and has option to stay longer. Owner is amazing, helpful person, he was putting small groceries in the fridge for us to have any food to eat after coming late. Truly fantastic person!Guest review byMagdalenaCzech Republic

The town has interesting old buildings, and the seaside is open with parks all around. There are some good restaurants in the Rewell shopping mall. With buses it is easy to get to places slightly out of town. There are playgrounds in the middle of the city for kids and the main library has books in various languages for them to sit and read for awhile. We liked Edvin's Path, which you can get to on bus #15. However, if you want to see the Kvarken archipelago, wait until mid-June to visit Vaasa, otherwise there will be no boat tours.Guest review byFamilyPlanetTourUnited States - 10.0
I have been here many times.
I have been here many times. The city is small, picturesque one may say. Not many things to do but efficient for those who live there. It is small, safe and welcoming, what else could one ask for. They are very loyal to local industries therefore food quality is unique for Finnish standards, if you know what I mean, they pay attention to beauty other difference from other "Finnish speaking" cities. The cookies, the bread well, just visit, it is not a long walk but you can take it several times a day and you will always find some little tiny thing that is nice.Guest review byOrellanaSpain - 10.0
A small and quiet town with a peaceful charm.
A small and quiet town with a peaceful charm. Even though not many places were open in late spring, we still enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The old wooden houses and narrow streets give it a unique and cozy character.Guest review byAnnaFinland - 8.0
Good: Good shopping opportunities, especially at Kivihaka.
Good: Good shopping opportunities, especially at Kivihaka. I estimate the Swedish-speaking percentage of the residents at 75%, probably the highest in Finland by some margin. 24/7 kiosk at Shell Pitkäkatu. Generally nice-looking city. Tropiclandia was nice for a summer day. Less impressive: Getting to/from the ferry pier is chaotic (especially when the ferrytaxi driver didn't speak Swedish nor English). It was not easy to find any of the city's restaurants. Personal tip: I'd favour trying to figure out how to get from downtown to Kivihaka by bus next time, due to the overly snaking pavement paths between the two.Guest review byImreNorway
