- From US$86.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 40 reviewsWe stayed 2 nights at VVF Aveyron, during which time it was mainly occupied by elderly people (like ourselves). I assume that.when schools are on holiday, there would be many more families there. We didn't take part in any activities. It was easy to walk into Najac, which is lovely. We used the outdoor swimming pool and enjoyed the site itself, which is extensive,. We enjoyed the trees, the birds and butterflies greatly. The staff were very helpful and friendly.. The food was of a very high standard and very reasonably priced. The surrounding Aveyron countryside is, of course, charming.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom

This was our third visit to Millau and we will return to the area in future. There is a lot to see and do and some very good, reasonably priced, restaurants. We enjoyed walking along the well kept river bank, visiting the museum and the Cité de Pierres.Guest review byStephenFrance - 8.0

As an art historian, I found it absolutely mesmerizing to be in the vicinity of the abbey of St. Foy. The tympanum sculptures, along with the monk's guided tour of them, the tribune tour every night, the light show projection on the tympanum at night were all great. Seeing the reliquary of St. Foy, and Charlemagne reliquary was wonderful too. I spent two entire days exploring the abbey and another wandering the streets of town (up and down hill hiking). It is an enchanting place.Guest review bybarbgarveyUnited States - 10.0

A medieval town with an amazing number of bars and restaurants and on the outskirts all of the modern shops you need. A little gem with architectural wonders and busy and vibrant. Lots of parking with easy access to the amazing centre .Guest review byandySpain - 10.0
Conques is a wonderful town!
Conques is a wonderful town! Every building in every street is beautiful. And the church is spectacular. This was our second visit and we were glad to stay overnight in the town so we could go to a concert in the church in the evening and see the light show on the tympanum above the entry doors. And walking the on the floodlit upper level gallery in the church was an experience not to be missed.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 8.0
Nice refurbishment since our last visit several years ago.
Nice refurbishment since our last visit several years ago. More attention to detail needed, and it could then become outstanding. A good start would be to open up the restaurant, and to smarten up their act at breakfast. Reception were helpful, and assisted with baggage (no lift/elevator).Guest review byBarryUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I ended up in Millau by accident when my car broke down on the highway. When I arrived at the hotel I had booked overnight it was raining and the pizza prepared by the hotel was cold. However, all of that was compensated by seeing the Millau Viaduct poking out of the early morning fog in the valley as I left the town on my bus to Montpellier.Guest review byAlf - 10.0
We had done no home work and just LOVED Rodez.
We had done no home work and just LOVED Rodez. We spent all our 4 days in the Old Town walking and looking. We visited the 3 Museums, the park Cathedral and Churches. We are not shoppers but we loitered in the many squares and the Saturday market enjoying the tomatoes and peaches particularly. We relaxed in the warmth of a crazy september ! We found great kindness from the people and enjoyed all our when we ate out.Guest review byMargaretUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Conques is a fantastic mediaeval village.
Conques is a fantastic mediaeval village. Very easy to spend a couple of days wandering around the streets. The church is a wonder. Auberge St. Jaques is very central with a restaurant and a bar. You do need to be able to negotiate the stairs, though.Guest review byray - 8.0
Beautiful unspoilt town will everything you could want in...
Beautiful unspoilt town will everything you could want in walking distance. Train from Toulouse to the centre of Villefranche -de-Rouergue. Lots of restaurants and good holiday accommodation in B&B's and apartments. Some areas of the town still up and coming but locals are friendly and lots of work going in to preserving and restoring the more rundown areas. A hidden gem. Lovely Market on Thursday. Surrounded by other areas worth visiting. Would make a good base.Guest review byJulietteIreland
