- From US$104.65 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 277 reviewsA great place to relax! The lakeside cabins proved to be the perfect choice – clean, well-equipped (kitchenette, bathroom, comfortable beds), and with a beautiful view of the water from the terrace. The area is quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing, walking, or enjoying morning coffee while listening to birdsong. The lake is very close by – perfect for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The only downside was the lack of internet access for the entire stay (8 days).Guest review byNataliaNetherlands
- From US$263.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 372 reviewsEverything was very very good. The location is fantastic, with a swim in the Tarn river just 10 m away. The building is remarkable and filled with history. The food was outstanding (who is that chef btw?). The –all young– staff was very nice. Even if it is not a cheap hotel, you regret that you have to leave at some point. I honestly did not know an hotel could be that great and other hotel managers should go there and learn. Why can't I rate it 11/10?Guest review byGuillaumeSweden
- From US$111.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 525 reviewsWonderful retreat in the hillsides of Ardeche nera Le Van's - Breakfast and Restaurant are a whooping surprise and the rooms have its own flair. Of course, some need for renewal especially the bathroom. But it's a bit whining on high altitude. It had everything Hikers, Walkers, Bicyclists and Motorcyclist would look for after a day in the Ardeche Mountain ranges. Will book again when time has come.Guest review byBigdaddyotaSwitzerland

From the warm welcome to the beautifully kept surroundings, everything was perfect. The pool was stunning—clean, peaceful, and surrounded by gorgeous views. What truly stood out was the dinner. It was easily the best meal we had during our trip—fresh and delicious.Guest review byADELINARomania

This was our third visit to Millau and we will return to the area in future. There is a lot to see and do and some very good, reasonably priced, restaurants. We enjoyed walking along the well kept river bank, visiting the museum and the Cité de Pierres.Guest review byStephenFrance - 4.0
There is really nothing special about Ales.
There is really nothing special about Ales. There are much more scenic and historically interesting cities in this area. I stayed for two nights in order to visit the wine country south of the city. I think next time I'll stay in Arles instead.Guest review bystefenUnited States - 8.0

The hotel was fine, in line with what I expected. The dinner was exceptional – hats off to the chef for preparing a wonderful meal. The value proposition for dinner and for the hotel was very good. Recommended.Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We only bought food this time. But on earlier visit stayed at Grand Hotel du Parc which was very good. Streets are narrow and one way system can be difficult. Best to use parking at edge of town in high season.Guest review byColinFrance - 8.0

We planned our stay in Anduze to enjoy the local steam train trip from Anduze to Saint Jean du Gard. Our hosts Sara and Jonathon proved to be wonderful. The conversation (in English) flowed and many stories were enjoyed. A recommended local restaurant for dinner was enjoyed plus breakfast on the terrace back at our accommodation. We planned two nights but due to car issues, only managed one.Guest review byRobJuddAustralia - 10.0

It is an interesting and attractive town - we could have explored much more. But we were there for the walking and the Causses are something else. Don't all go and see please: the quietness and isolation is important! The Gorges du Tarn is also magnificent.Guest review byRWUnited Kingdom - 8.0
A very pretty and historic village in a stunning location.
A very pretty and historic village in a stunning location. Although we visited out of season it was still quite busy and we imagine that in high season it might be very overcrowded and not very pleasant. We struggled to find a good choice of restaurant for our one evening meal there as it seemed there were several restaurants at 'Ground level' but with rather expensive menus for average food as you would expect in a tourist town. We eventually chose a Creperie which had good and generous portions at a fair price. However the location was not easy for us as retirees as it was at the top of the village and required a difficult climb and descent on either cobblestone or quite slippery steps. Fine for young people but not so good for the elderly. We can recommend an outing to La Malene - the next village for a trip on the Battalieres of the Tarn who provided a wonderful small boat trip down the river which was unforgetable.Guest review byRobertFrance - 10.0

Close to few of the most beautifull villages of France - must visit Saint-Enimie, La Canourgue, La Malene. Awesome nature views in combination with small villages with historic France charm. Good hiking possibilities and canoeing of up to 25km at river Tarn.Guest review byCimdina - 8.0

I ended up in Millau by accident when my car broke down on the highway. When I arrived at the hotel I had booked overnight it was raining and the pizza prepared by the hotel was cold. However, all of that was compensated by seeing the Millau Viaduct poking out of the early morning fog in the valley as I left the town on my bus to Montpellier.Guest review byAlf - 10.0

Ales is a vibrant little town which has grown where others have diminished! There are many places around to visit. Les Jardins de la Fontaine is a little oasis right in the centre of town. When you close the gate you could be in the country, quite delightful, a few minutes walk from the bustling centre with bars and restaurants.Guest review bySueNew Zealand
