Beautiful hotel with lovely owner and staff. Nothing was a problem and the service was excellent. The Manager was amazing. He picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. The hotel is stunning and huge.

Decoration simple but elegant, Clean. Staff ( I think the proprietor and chef) very helpful. Food amazing, I mean amazing. This guy is passionate and very good…trust me. Set menu is prepared daily. And wow! today was excellent. Absolutely worth the detour from your route to Italy or the south… beautiful small valley location, nice walks.

The location for us was excellent - a few turns off the autoroute. (This was an overnight on our way to and from holiday.) The rooms were well laid out, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was good. Best of all, it was QUIET!

    Staff was super friendly and helpful at all touch points. Simple and spacious rooms. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. And airconditioning in the room. Quiet location. In the evening the gate closes securing the parked car which was reassuring . Would absolutely come back another time.

    Epernay is all about the champagne.

    Epernay is all about the champagne. Our visit included Sunday and Monday evenings and as a result we found it very difficult to book a decent restaurant due to many closing on those days. We would visit again but maybe towards the end of the week.

    Pleasant interesting town at which we had not previously stayed. The city centre has a calm atmosphere of its own. We did a tour of the Joseph Perrier Champagne house which was impressive. Vincent was a friendly and informative host.

    We choose chateau thierry based on its commutable location...

    We choose chateau thierry based on its commutable location to reims and Paris. It was perfect for both. 3 hours from calais. 1 hr 3 to chelles gournay (then train/metro to paris) 38 mins to reims. As a big family we found eating out tricky In chateau thierry not many places appeared to want us there or simple couldn't hold us. But Le 95 was a perfect little gem with the best most helpful staff we've ever encountered. Free parking car park massive bonus. We tried the local bakeries. All very good, doughnut shop absokutly wonderful! Supermarket well stocked. We also tried the carrefour interspersed and soft play all as to be expected.

    A lovely little town, effectively part of Chateau Thierry where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, historical stuff (castle and WW1 monument). Access to several Champagne caves - one is really based around a cave, amazing! Safe to walk, there appear to be plenty of buses, but given the heat some sites (the US WW1 memorial) need a car for most people to get there

    It is a quiet village but has a large number of small champagne houses offering tasting opportunities. It does not have a large selection of restaurants but does have a great delicatessen offering sharing platters and great wine. You can easily walk to Épernay and there is a train service to Reims. So a great location to explore the champagne region

    If you want to visit the cathedral of Notre Dame( which is beautiful) you need to check times and festival dates. It certainly is worth visiting. Our hotel was a 10 min drive in but plenty of paid parking on roads. The cathedral city has beautiful parks and lovely restaurants which come alive at night. A good city break for two nights.

    Champagne tour is a must and walking around the city including the cathedral. Eating out was easy with plenty of bars and restaurants. Reims is a modern city with some history, so has plenty of shops.
