there are no 5star hotel groups there.. no Mario's or sheratons or Hiltons ? wonder why ?? the hotels are overpriced for the value we get. But the city is lovely and a very nice place to visit. Ie. the Breakfast place where we stay - the older generation with old mentality are Races and Rude, but the new younger generation are very nice and polite. It's simply wonderful. The town is just the right size, not too big yet not too small. All the facilities are within walking distance. There are lots of bars, reataurants and shops, including supermarkets. The beach is great, too. It's not overcrowded. What I love the most about the beautiful village of La Croix...
What I love the most about the beautiful village of La Croix-Valmer is the vibes. Local, loving people, quiet, but not so quiet, especially in the center where we can have public beaches, pizza at ''Super Pizza Restaurant'' and any other restaurants, Boulangerie and ''Spar'' Supermarkt. Also, we can hike (my partner and I went for a hike) from Plage l'Escalet to Plage Gigaro. It was so hot in the summer, but we could always have a skin dip and swim along the way. The breathtaking panorama along the way was absolutely worth it!! Finally, we did wine testing (Dégustation de Vins) at Domaine Tropez. The port of Gassin has a very large harbour with lots of super yachts. There are several restaurants facing the harbour. There is also a large shopping centre just behind the holiday complex, very handy for self catering.
