Incredible nice staff, dogs and owner! We were the first guest of the season and had the hotel for ourselves. Not even the cook started so she made us the best dinner and breakfast. The location is superb for hiking. Lots of trails and super to hike during summer. You can start at the hotel and walk for hours. Beautiful view from the room. Parking at the towns square. Easy access to the hotel.

From the moment we drove to the gated parking lot, we were taken exceptional care of by the hotel staff. The room (and its bathroom) was great. And the restaurant, where we ate dinner, offered us an excellent culinary experience! The hotel is a calm place to stay in a picturesque town full of history on the river Rhône. I just wished we planned to stay for more than just one night!

Beautiful old property with delightful gardens backing onto the river. The water falls are a short walk away but the path is a bit rocky and uphill so you need to be reasonably physically fit. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the staff delightful.

    Well, every single moment from when we entered the gates to this gorgeous historic establishment was just memorable. We were accompanied to our room which was very spacious, clean and had the most comfortable bed and pillows. View was superb of the chateau. Booked in for 2 hours in the spa for a relaxing time enjoying the warm jet waters, sauna and steam room. This time was most warranted to then laze on a recliner lounge for a much needed afternoon siesta after weeks of travelling. We came via train from Geneva and it was so easy to get the D tram then the C4 bus to the Chateau. We booked in for dinner and chose the 3 course set menu. WOW. Do yourself a favour and sit in amongst the family portraits in the dining room and emmerse yourself back into history. An absolute charm. Food was just stunning as was the service. What a delight. This place was so quiet and tranquil, and gave us as travellers the time we needed to unwind and relax Hats off to you guys and all the staff. ❤️

    I would highly recommend this hotel especially to couples as the atmosphere around this hotel is so serene and relaxing. The spa facilities are amazing - the sauna, steam room and both the indoor and outdoor pools are exceptionally clean. We had the opportunity to stay in the attic rooms, which were so cosy and equipped with all amenities. From the window, there are views of the alps and the surrounding gardens where one could go for a long walk to enjoy this picturesque village. This hotel is ideal for a getaway holiday to relax and unwind and have time to destress.

The soundproofing is great so you don't hear any noise and you can get a good rest. If you are trying to visit Grenoble this is definitely not for you as it's in the middle of an industrial estate outside of the city. But if you are looking for a place to get quality rest while you are on the road it's amazing value for money

    Large nicely decorated room. There is a very decent tv set to watch a film when the weather outside was too cold to be out on the terrace! As the restaurant was closed on the Sunday night, they provided a "planche", a cheese and cold meat assortment which did the trick after a long journey.

    The town is quite run down with a lot of graffiti and many closed businesses. The gondola to the Bastille was very uncomfortable and really there was nothing at the top, except the view of the city. However, we had two great dinners - one in a traditional French restaurant and the other at a 1 star Michelin restaurant.

    Gallo Roman Museum is terrific.

    Gallo Roman Museum is terrific. Other Roman sites were closed. Ancient theatre being made into a modern facility. Cathedral was very large and old but interesting. Lots of bars and restaurants. Lots of cars and vehicle noise. Traffic noise went almost 24/7. Surrounding hillsides green and lovely.

    We were there for a ski holiday.

    We were there for a ski holiday. The runs for beginners are the best I have seen. lots of green runs and a run with a very long covered travelator which was great for our 5 year old. The resort had enough challenging runs for our mixed party. We went at the beginning of January but the elevation of the resort at 1,800M was high enough to get good snow.

    We travelled to Le Bourg-d'Oisans in late May for a cycling trip. The weather was cool to warm, the cycling was fantastic, and the roads were mostly free of traffic. The village is attractive, with a great Saturday market and a good selection of food venues.

    This was perfect for us, it was an extremely quiet room, bed was comfortable and clean, the shower pressure great as was the wifi and air con. Breakfast had three cereals to choose from, lots of varied fresh fruit along with dried fruit and fresh fruit salad, plentiful yogurts and pastries plus ham, cheese, madelines and condiments. The pizza place across the road was enjoyable, there are more restaurants close by and an Asian supermarket. The staff went above and beyond to help us out letting us use their phone and minding our luggage for a few hours. Overall a very good budget hotel especially when you want a good night's sleep. .

    I came here to help my Daughter move home after a semester...

    I came here to help my Daughter move home after a semester abroad. We stayed for a few days so she could show me some of her favorite spots, but we didn't get to everything. Could have easily spent more time exploring. The city transit system made it easy anywhere we wanted to go. The trip up the Bastille using cable cars was fun and offered amazing views

    Loved the Marche, it is the second largest in France.

    Loved the Marche, it is the second largest in France. It is so worth going to. The town also is a lovely size and has shops,restaurants of all kinds. There are museums and Roman ruins, and Côtes du Rhône wine region right at your feet.

    Esf instructors lived up to their reputation.

    Esf instructors lived up to their reputation. Absolutely exceptional for both adults and the children. The lines were perfect for all abilities and great for families just starting out. Lots of lovely places to eat, and so many fun activities for the children, like sledging, tubing, rollercoaster, mountain karts, husky rides and instructor stunt show. Make sure you book restaurants before you go. La Cabane get booked up quickly and you can’t get there on foot, but the snow bashed takes you up there at night (fun for kids). Le 37 is really good, as is the Sporting restaurant (not a sports bar) and we were recommended La Cremaillère and Pinocchio but couldn’t get in as they were full. Hotel Grand Rousses restaurant is exceptional. We hired a pod outside. The service at this hotel was second to none. Sadly not what we experienced at Le Pic Blanc hotel 😔 Le Spot is a lovely outdoor bar with a stunning view down the Chez Roger. Signal 2108 restaurant is great but you need to book to sit upstairs. Downstairs is good but more canteen style which is where had lunch. La Frutiére restaurant was so good for lunch. The casserole was delicious as was the burger. Good choice for children too and they get a little Folie Douce gift too. Folie Douce was brilliant. Kids were there too which was nice.

    This is the place to stay if you are planning on biking in...

    This is the place to stay if you are planning on biking in the mountains. Great opportunity to rent and buy everything you need to your cycle adventure. The main street has a really nice atmosphere with plenty of options for casual dining. We found it easy to park in the city, while cycling the Alpe d'Huez.

    The size of the groom.

    The size of the groom. There was microwave ans a big fridge to store tour fresh items. Tv as well. Clos to carrefour (5mins walk). Very Good place to take a large family if you are on a budget. Excellent value for money. Its easy to get round in your car.
