This is a great 4-star hotel. The owners and staff really care about their guests, and the details of a great stay—from an extremely friendly check-in to a generous parting gift of cold water and a Madeleine. The design of the rooms is also very good. They're generous with amenities - there's a Nespresso machine, and the mini bar has free water and soft drinks. The pool and jacuzzi area is nice and peaceful, and the breakfast is very good. They also offer bicycles to hire at reasonable prices, so you can easily have a nice cycle through the beautiful residential green streets if you want to explore the area or head to the beach. It's a great place to stay, and I would love to come back.

    Our stay at Domaine de Verchant was amazing! It was my boyfriend’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it truly special. Every little detail was so thoughtful, and it felt like they genuinely cared about making the day perfect for us. The reception team was incredible, and I have to give a special shoutout to Mr. Fernando—he was so friendly and welcoming, and his kindness really stood out. The SPA was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect place to relax, and the restaurant was another highlight. The food was delicious, and the whole dining experience felt so special. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury with amazing service, Domaine de Verchant is the one. We can’t wait to go back!

    The view from the room was absolutely stunning, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The bedroom was spacious with a large, comfortable bed and incredibly soft bedding, ensuring a great night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent, and the heating worked perfectly, keeping us cozy throughout our stay.     Lots of wonderful monuments and historical buildings to visit. Transport system excellent once you have got used to it. Clean and comfortable. A multitude of cafes to choose from. A vibrant city with lots of young people but no trouble. A lot of dog waste though unfortunately.

    The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast was amazing. Did not like being woken by the garbage truck at 4:30 am and the street cleaner after that. I also think there should be a ride from the parking area to the hotel.

    Beautiful city with some awesome Roman architecture. Never felt in any sort of danger even while walking around the outskirts at 10pm. The bus to Pont du Gard is amazing value at only 2 euros each way (It's a good 20km out of town).

    Lovely little gem of a town, lots of medieval history and a good food and drinks scene. People are really friendly and a lot speak a bit of English if your French isn’t very good! It’s a very walkable town as well, and I recommend the little train tour to give you some history and context for the place.

    Being a small city, with all the sights in the centre, you can see a lot in a short time. We were lucky to be there on the first Sunday of the month when entry to the Archbishops Palace is free. We also enjoyed the Sunday market, with lots of good quality things on sale, and lunch in Les Halles is a must.

    Sete is a beautiful port city with lots of good restaurants and shopping. I'm glad I visited in the off-season as I'm sure I would not have had such a good experience with hordes of visitors. I can't even imagine the difficult parking situation! I loved walking along the quieter areas like the port and along the waterfront. The Musee Paul Valery was fabulous!

    Cap d‘Agde is very nice destination with plenty of yacht ports and a few different beaches nearby. You can find there both restaurants, shops and disco clubs. Many small apartments with some with swimming pools. Big Aquapark and paid swimming pool are also in the area. There are buses to Agde and Gare where you can change to another bus to the airport but they do not go very often. Generally I do recommend.

There are many restaurants and all the restaurants we tried produced excellent food and wine at very reasonable prices. The walk to Port Vendres takes around 30 minutes on a very safe path. It's well worth a visit. There is a large choice of cafes and bars and a good market on Saturday mornings. The coastal path to Argeles Sur Mer is a lovely coastal walk, it's quite steep in places but well worth the effort. Carcassonne is less than 2 hours on the train. We went on a Sunday for 2 Euros return. It's a historical city famous for its mendiaval citadel.
