Our room was amazing. Spotlessly clean, fantastic view, a huge and amazingly comfortable bed. The restaurant had an equally stunning view out over the sea and some of the best food we've tasted in a very long time. The staff were all lovely and couldn't do more to make sure we were happy and that everything was perfect.     Well placed hotel, right opposite the beach, and a short walk to the local shops, restaurants and cafés. It had a lovely bar and restaurant overlooking the beach and sea. The was a Casino in the hotel if you like gambling. There was an underground car park and a large car park at the rear of the hotel. The room we had was very large, with beautiful tiles in the separate toilet and bathroom. There was a separate shower, as well as a shower in the bath. The bed was large and comfortable and with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We would highly recommend this hotel for any length of stay. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

    The peace and quiet at a relaxing seafront location was welcome after arriving on the motorbikes soaked to the skin.     There is lots to see and learn about Nantes. If you are interested in history Nantes has plenty. You can spend a day in the Chateau just looking at its history. Would have liked more time to explore the wine areas and their muscadet.

    Honestly, this is just not ok in 2025. I sleep about 160 nights per year in a hotel, normally 3 stars. F1 after their refurbishments is simply better. Wherever I go in "premiere classe", it's always like: "animals might just sleep here but not us". INVEST guys, how this chain survives, I don't know. Don't be mistaken, just a low price is not enough to survive. Knowing your business is, and that is never the case, in whatever "hotel" of them you sleep. Personally, this is my refuge when I need to sleep and have no other, more human options. All depending of my routing. Just do something, enjoy your business, make a proud company for owners and employees. Either the hotel chain doesn't have any money to invest or they don't want to. Either way, this goes bust one day as I strongly believe, after at least 10 years with, thank God, maximum 10 nights in this chain, will never happen.

    Friendly and picturesque neighbourhood, with great little local shops and well-stocked small supermarket on the way to the enormous beach. Beach has lots of options for wind-sports hire, and other water activities. The beach cafes looked nice. Easy going, obviously some money around, a casino further down the prom. Almost exclusively French visitors and residents when we were there in mid-July. Appartment right next to train station, for easy SNCF to adjoining towns and Nantes. Nantes is fantastic and a highly recommended day trip. See the elephant! I was there with older kids, would be great with young ones too, or couple or solo.

    I went to the Nantes Atlantic Airport a few times to take a plane but I don't really know the area. In general, the area around the Nantes Atlantic Airport is an industry area, car parks, warehouses. It is not a pleasant place to walk around. The airport is so small and nearly couldn't handle the demand of people or it only lacks of good management. I believe that they are going to build a new airport, bigger, more modern very soon. We go there because we could have a direct flight to a few destinations from there. The long term car park is at reasonable price. All this makes our trips well time managed. There could be some pleasant places to visit but I am not aware of. And you need to have a car. The connections between Nantes City Centre and the airport is still confusing. And there should be paid navette serving the Airport and the near by beautiful areas. So the travellers without transport could have more choices of hotels instead of paying a high price to the rare few hotels opposite the airport. Thank you for an opportunity to share my thoughts.

    It was just too small for the price.

    It was just too small for the price. There was close to no floor space and the window could not be opened and the aircon was running non-stop and made the room unbearably hot. Not nice and the staff was not very service-minded.

    This was our first time on this coastline, so did not know what to expect. Pornic exceeded our expectations. The harbour is surrounded by numerous restaurants and café bars with a range of prices. We found a regular venue for our coffee and tried several restaurants for evening meals. Good value for money! We found the locals very helpful. They did not find our lack of French language an inconvenience and attempted to communicate with us. We visited several of the surrounding beaches. They were not overcrowded and had good facilities. We fell in love with this area and will definitely be back.

    Pornichet offers a good mix of beaches, a vast, wide sandy beach for swimming, sunbathing and watersports as well as a slightly wilder beach for rock pooling etc. There are sailing events at the Marina as well as a mixture of other events throughout the year. There is a good selection of restaurants and bars and an excellent market twice a week.

    This Chambre D'hote is only about 400 yards from the medieval centre of this small town which has a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops, as well as interesting historical buildings. Our hosts were really helpful in pointing out all the numerous attractions in the town and in the surrounding area. There are plenty places to walk or cycle, the beach is not far and we loved a trip on the marais on a flat bottomed boat. We saw a lot of wildfife and our leader told us local history of the area. For us it was a great find as we hadn't visited this area before. The market on Saturday had the most amazing fish stall as well as all the other french delights.

    We had 3 nights here which felt just right. We did a walking tour on day 1 and the following day we visited Les Machines de I’ll. On our final day we walked around le Jardin des Plantes. We had lots of good food and drink along the way and would definitely recommend Chez Maman for good food and quirky decor. Worth noting that public transport is free at weekends!
