The once beautiful city of Toulouse, capital of the South...
The once beautiful city of Toulouse, capital of the South West of France, is sadly no longer what it was. The whole place feels run down, dirty and the glory it once had has more than merely faded. There are plenty of visitors but the Place du Capitole, the centrepiece of the city, is was obscured by market stalls and somewhat overpriced, touristy restaurants. Parts of the city are not pleasant to be in and I would definitely not recommend a woman travelling there alone. It's still a beautiful place but it needs a damn good clean and proper policing.Guest review byPaul - 8.0

Lourdes is a Catholic religious site. One goes there for prayers and contemplation. Don't go there for tourism. The churches and basilicas are all over France. Tourists can choose other places with easier access.Guest review bySumah - 6.0

The hotel is set off a road and once you enter, it is quiet and tranquil. The staff are very discreet and the service is excellent. We had room 16 which had a private balcony overlooking the river Tarn. The room was large, very comfortable and the view was beautiful. The Air Conditioning was weak but we opened the door and the balcony and the through draft cooled the room in the evenings. As we were having a heat wave, the cool breeze in the evenings lasting through to the morning was delightful. The meals are delicious and the service again is excellent. Breakfast is equally good with excellent coffee.
