Stunning architect designed hotel. Our first reaction was Wow! We were offered a room upgrade for £20 before we left England and glad we did, huge room with sofa. Restaurant was also stylish with great food at amazing value. Definitely a 4* hotel/restaurant. Loved it so much, wish we’d had time to sample breakfast and enjoy the spa/pool but had to rush off to next destination. Would change our route just to stay there again! Can’t wait. The town of Les Herbiers was also a delight, so clean, parts of it were very modern. Overall a real surprise and can’t recommend this hotel enough (late game of pool/table football after dinner was an added delight)

An exceptional small hotel with very modern and high quality interiors. The room (for a family of 4) was spacious and clean, the beds very comfortable and hotel itself was very peaceful. The staff were excellent, very helpful and accommodating and check-in / check-out was fast & simple. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of local options. We stayed after spending a long day at Puy du Fou, which is only 10 minutes away, so the location is excellent and was a perfect place to rest & recharge. We recommend the hotel very highly.

The staff were all very nice to us and really helpful with some ideas for day trips. The hotel is simple but you will find everything that you need. Also, the bed was really comfortable. Overall, it's a really calm area, and it's very close to Puy du Fou ( by car about 10 minutes)

    Very welcoming staff both in the hotel and the restaurant. Also when I asked for a kettle for our room, we were given one. It was a really lovely room for our whole family. It had a lovely view too. The hotel rooms were very quiet- we were not disturbed by other guests at all. Very comfy beds and so close to Puy Du Fou which we visited that day. The restaurant was perfect. We asked for a table on arrival and were given one. The waiters were SO good. Very friendly and helpful but also very professional. The restaurant was busy, but no one was left waiting. Easy check in and check out. I would definitely use this hotel again.

    We loved how remote the area was and our little nest was cosy and comfortable. The shower was hot and lovely after a long day of walking. The lady who welcomed us was very kind, helpful and chatty. I had a beautiful walk around the grounds. It was very close to puy du Fou. We wished we had been able to spend more time on the site to relax but had a tight schedule to keep to. We loved the sound of the owls at night.

    We had a great stay with Jerome & Ye.

    We had a great stay with Jerome & Ye. The accommodation is ideally located in the centre of Cholet 5 minutes walk from the main square with a car park with VERY reasonable rate next door. We ate at Le Grande Cafe and La Conti Brasserie as we were too tired from busy days at Puy du Fou to walk any further!

    A small, bustling, cosmopolitan city. Lots of interesting buildings and views. Friendly people. Our stay was very brief, so we didn't really get a chance to explore. Recommend the Pizzeria Cristalin in Plzce de la Resistance, just a short stroll from our hotel in Place Napoléon.

    We were going to Puy Du Fou, and the owner gave us the right tip to go there quicker. They gave us as well the right restaurant at Les Herbiers and I could appreciate the beauty of the city. So just one evening. The rest of our stay was for the Puy du Fou.

    We went to visit Puy de Fou but I'm really sorry we didn't spend a day in Pouzauges itself. It's a lovely little town, with old winding streets, a Chateau - churches. And believe it or not the best Thai food I've ever eaten - we only wanted a late night snack because the teens were hungry but we ended up trying dish after dish from the buffet.

    Lovely surroundings in quiet peaceful area. We dined in St Hillaire du Loulay, in small restaurant with a fabulous menu and excellent wines. We could only spend one night as we were travelling North for the Ferry but would like to spend more time here.

    This is a wonderful place to stay. We loved it. Set in beautiful countryside and very peaceful. The dinners were amazing. We had a table to ourselves in the conservatory the first night and enjoyed superb food and wine. The second night we dined with everyone else and it was a great experience.

    We stayed 2 nights in Cholet. first night, we had a short visit in the town centre. 2nd day, Puy du Fou for the full day, a Must See. on the way back we visited the splendid Parc of Maulévrier, the biggest Japanese parc in Europe.

    This is a beautiful location and the chateau is well maintained and clean. The surrounding area is calm and very peaceful. The pool wasn’t opened when we got to the chateau but I think if I’d asked they might have opened it. The atmospheric was informal but also well planned and dinner with the host was a very French experience! Salmon, chicken and beautiful wine to accompany each course. We didn’t go into Beaupréau as this was strictly an overnight stop so I can’t comment but the countryside around is lovely

    We loved it all and was just the perfect amount of time.We crammed in a lot in those 3 days! Would definitely recommend Cholet!! Le Miel was a quaint little food area , they had homemade baked goods.Staff were amazing even for my French language . L'ecalier bistro iode (Cholet ) was just AAAAAhhhhhhmmmmmaaaaazzzzing !!! Food was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious and just the right amount as we had fine dining like that.Portions you'd think for any Canadian would be small but you got to savour all of the Chefs flavour in it all .Definitely recommend this bistro to everyone !!
