Loved everything about this property, the location was just a short walk across the bridge to the village. The Hôtel decor is amazing! The rooms are well set up and are clean and stylish. The family that own the hotel have done amazing job. Would definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing stay. Everything was perfect. I have traveled around the world but this experience is on the top of my list. Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly, the environment was comfortable and intimate, the decor was beautiful, and it was amazing to soak in the jacuzzi while it was raining. This stay was an unforgettable experience for me. The hotel's dinner was also very delicious, the chef was handsome, and the ingredients were very fresh, sourced from the forest, private garden, and local suppliers. Surrounded by the forest at night and awakened by nature in the morning, it felt like we rediscovered our inner peace! We will definitely come back if we have the chance in the future!

    The lady in the Tourist Office was very helpful. Buses, trams and local trains were all free on that Saturday. Sunday all the shops were open with sales tables and racks in the pedestrianised streets.

    We had a very nice overnight stay in Amboise , the apt was very comfortable and cosy, perfect location, secure parking and our hosts contacted us prior to our arrival to ensure we knew where to get the key. We would highly recommend it for visiting Amboise.

    This was an overnight stop on our way back to the ferry port...

    This was an overnight stop on our way back to the ferry port near Caen, so more of a functional one than a sightseeing one, though we did head to the château at Villandry after leaving, which was only about 25 minutes' drive via the scenic route through Savonnières. There was a choice of decent restaurants in easy walking distance for dinner and breakfast was fine. The room was very hot when we arrived and the aircon not working but the lad on the desk explained that it can either be set to cool or to heat for the whole building and the weather suddenly changing from cool to hot had left the 'wrong' option enabled. We were able to cool it down by opening the door and window but that did admit quite a lot of traffic noise.

    Beautiful medieval town with quaint streets and a lovely farmers market while we were there. The chateau is worth a visit and you get beautiful views from the ramparts and across to the country side and river. Easy to walk everywhere as we were close to town. There is kayaking available on the river which looked fun.

    We only used it as a stopover on the way back to the ferry...

    We only used it as a stopover on the way back to the ferry so it works well for us having done this several times before, just don't stay at the campanile use the B&B Hotel nearby! SuperU just off the autoroute is perfect for fuel and snacks and there's dining options close by.

    The chateaux within easy range are very impressive.

    The chateaux within easy range are very impressive. We cycled into Tours from Villandry, mostly along the river Cher. Some good cycling in the area in most directions from Azay. A few steep hills that can be avoided if desired. Chateau de l’Islette is a great picnic spot. This was our 3rd stay in this area and we would happily return again

    I'd never heard of Loches, but it's a real gem. Totally preserved medieval city with really beautiful buildings and a real community feel. We were lucky enough to be there on market day also, which was a real treat.

    We were just crossing the region and avoiding the motorways, but we enjoyed the spectacular views, the lovely villages, the greenery and the flowers. People living there obviously care for and about their surroundings. We saw also restaurants and buses with tourists, but we did not stop to interact.

    The hotel is located near motorway, in a quiet area. It has a pool, perfect to chill out with kids. Unfortunately there is no restaurant service in the evening, only a bar. Beds are very comfortable. It was a perfect stop for us on the way to Spain, but it looks like it is a nice area to visit for a couple of days and enjoy the surroundings, we shall consider a longer stay next time.

    Tours is a bustling and unspoilt French provincial city. There are many historic and beautiful buildings. churches the chateau and the Musee des Beaux Arts. Streets have many fascinating visitas. It is also a cosmopolitan city with communities from around the world adding to its fascination. Today there was an amazing market which filled many of the streets in the centre of the city selling all sorts of new and vintage items, as well as a range of foods.
