The location is absolutely lovely,calm and bucolic. The room was spotless clean and the WiFi was available without problem. The restaurant has an excellent choice of fine meals , and the staff was kind and friendly. We even extended the stay one more night and clearly, we will come back later on the Summer, a true Gem!!! And "Biscuit", the house's puppy dog is hilarious!

I selected Hôtellerie du Couvent Oberbronn because it was extremely well situated in terms of the historic battlefields I wanted to visit. It was an excellent base for my various day trips. Everything about the property impressed me, from the helpfulness of the staff on reception to the quality of the accommodation. I particularly liked that the room was very well set up without being over the top. I felt that this was in keeping with the fact that it was within a working nunnery. I also found the restaurant excellent. An extremely wide menu and very quick service by the waiting staff and kitchen staff. Likewise, breakfast was of a really good quality and nice variety. I was only a guest for one night, but I wished I had stayed longer.

    Everything! Friendly staff, good food. We’d booked a normal room but our’s was wonderful, on the top floor with two beds, lots of old, wooden panelling, a table with chairs under a window overlooking the heavily wooded valley across to the château. We even had a balcony. And they have an indoor swimming pool and sauna. We were on a cycling holiday, but next time I would stay more than one night!

    Very Spacious room. The view from the room was spectacular. 10mins walk from Niederbronn station. 5mins walk to the Christmas market ,the Casino and Chalet / Le patissier des thermes. Very good breakfast. They have bacon and Champagne for brekky which I really love.

    Wissembourg is a quaint French Alsatian town just across the German border. In fact, you can hike from Wissembourg across the border into Germany wine-country for lunch (or vice versa). It's an especially good daytrip for folks living in Heidelberg or Mannheim--you can get to Wissembourg on the local German train system.

    A beautiful village which can be walked around in a couple of hours. An ideal starting point for local walks in the woods or day excursions to the northern Vosges. If you like jazz and can be there for the August festival ("Au Gré du Jazz"), you will be in heaven!

    Very weird place, went into a bar which clearly didn’t like tourists coming in? Closings shutters at 9pm shouting that they were closing, we were almost pushed out .. just a weird place, stayed all over Europe and it was by far the worst stop on the tour

    An excellent room - large, clean, with all we needed - in a superb location, with a wonderful view over nearby villages, valleys and mountains. Our host Stefan was really welcoming and friendly - and went out of his way to respond to our odd requests. We strongly recommend this place to any travellers! There's a (linked) hotel just 100 metres away where we had a very good dinner (there's breakfast too but we had our own).

    Great location to explore the woods, mountains, and attractions in the mountains south of Bitche. Good roads to the hiking parking lots, trailheads, and small towns. Ingviller has good restaurants, groceries, and gas. Also a short drive to Hagenau, the Rhine, and Strasbourg.
