- From $212.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 1,331 reviewsThis is probably one of the easiest 5 star reviews I have given!! On arrival the hotel just looked great driving up the road towards it. The location is stunning. We arrived slightly early however the receptionist could not have been nicer. She put our bags behind reception (as room was not ready yet) and welcomed us to use the dining facilities and bar. The food was delicious, served promptly and well worth the money. I had requested a room with bath and the hotel accommodated. Our room was on an upper level and staff offered to take bags up as the lift as not working, The room itself was cozy, the bed was comfortable and we were given complimentary biscuits, pretzels and tea/coffee. The pool/sauna etc were easily accessible, you are given robes and slippers to use which was great. In the evening, we used the dining room and I say the food was exceptional, but this does not even cover it. The dining staff were amazing and went out of their way to facilitate requests and just chat to use making us feel comfortable and welcomed. The bar is a quiet area but there is also the option of room service. In the morning went down for breakfast and If i can recommend it - order the Eggs Benedict (the poached eggs were amazing). On check out, it was easy enough to settle up the outstanding bill and again the staff were lovely.Guest review byHeatherUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 639 reviewsA wonderful and cozy place to stay in Balleter. The host was friendly and briefed us on the do's n don't while staying there. The room was neat and clean. We appreciated very much the welcome pack of cookies and the taste of local whiskey. Breakfast was fantastic and cooked as requested from the menu. A good variety! Checking in and out was easy at the reception. A close walk to the town center.Guest review byKim GuanSingapore

Stonehaven is a cute village with 2 pubs/restaurants. Not much to do but definitely a must see! The Captains Table restaurant was lovely and must be booked in advance as very busy and turning many people away.Guest review byizznogUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was up for football but I stayed over the evening before to not have 6 hours of driving in one day. I am glad I did as I was able to visit the Peterhead Prison Museum. It is well worth a visit and very interesting.Guest review byAndreaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It has many attractive historical buildings in the centre of the town, a centrally located train station and Riverside Park. I recommend the £2 heritage trails guide available from the heritage centreGuest review byCharlie - 2.0
A beautiful setting with the river running past.
A beautiful setting with the river running past. However our room facing the entrance and carpark made it very difficult to relax.Guests gather at the entrance and late at night it is very difficult to sleep. The staff were wonderful and helped us find alternative accommodation in the town . It is a shame we were not told about a wedding party so we could have made a choice whether to stay rather than listen to the celebrations which we fully understand would always be noisy.Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Fraserburgh is a fishing town with a long heritage and history, there are interesting places to visit in the town and surrounding area making it a good base for exploring this part of Buchan. The town centre is a bit run down as are some of, what led to be its more vibrant bars , but don't let this put you off staying. There are some hidden gems if you are prepared to venture out and about. Visits to the lighthouse museum and (once it reopens) the heritage centre are a must as is walks around to Broadsea, a traditional fishing village now part of the town, and the beach is spectacular. The harbour is busy so take care when going there but it is worth a look at the impressive fishing vessels. The beach cafe is a great place for lunch and you can't go wrong with fish and chips from the many chip shops. I could write more but go and check it out for yourself.Guest review byKeithUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Aboyne is a lovely place for a short break.
Aboyne is a lovely place for a short break. Good facilities and lovely surroundings. Places to eat out at night are limited but what is on offer is good. At present the Aboyne bridge to the South Deeside road is closed to vehicles and will be so for the next few years. Approach the town by the A93 or face a 10 to 15 mile diversion.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Maryculter was a quiet respite after a long day's drive and visits to distilleries. It is a picturesque setting along the banks of a lovely stream and small views of a golf course on the other side of the river. Clean, comfortable, nice restaurant on the premises so we did not have to venture out. Lovely all around.Guest review byNonaUnited States
