- From US$134.73 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 908 reviewsIf you want to step back in time to the Good Old Days, then this is what this pub is about! Customer service with a smile, old beams, character furniture, and creaky floors. Even the music brought back memories of my youth! The bedroom was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and there was plenty of hot water. My dog was welcomed warmly. In fact, dogs were welcomed throughout the village! The menu was varied, with a good choice, and I found the food to be delicious. I only stayed for one night as I was passing through Wales, and I'm so glad I did!Guest review byTraceySpain
- From US$141.46 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,606 reviewsThe bed was large king size and very comfortable. Just the right amount of blanket weight. It was nice to have another room with the couch and TV instead of lying on the bed. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits supplied. Large bathroom with good shower pressure, shower is over the bath. Nice and quiet in our room, no road noise. Everything very clean and well presented. Good location meaning we could walk all around town to shop and have dinner.Guest review bySandraNew Zealand

Modern, convenient and budget friendly room with nice clean appliances. Hair about the place though, bed and pillows which wasn't good, it isnt mine im bald and my girlfriend is blonde! Apart from this all was lovely. No hoover available or area to wash your dishes but we made do with shower and hand wash basin so not a problemGuest review bywayneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I don't travel too far from the property, as I am happy with the local context, but if you like travelling out, then there is lots on locally and further out of Llandovery. Lots of stillness, peace and enjoying the natural world. Due to allergies, cooking facilities in the property make it really easy for eating in. Solo and families can enjoy lots of walks. A scattering of independent shops and pubs to enjoy.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Llandeilo is a quaint market Welsh town , steeped in history. it has a good sized Park to walk about, Castle near by, within walking distance. A few interesting shops. A Texaco Petrol station nearby. but no E5 fuel. nearest is in Gorslas, about 15mins drive, 7miles away. We did visit a pub called the White Hart for a big sit down dinner & booked in advance. But found the Pub to be poorly managed & food was pretty poor too. There is another pub/restaurant called The Plough about a mile away. excellent food & Drink choices. Good sized car park & very open. Friendly staff and very attentive. Llandeilo is worth getting out & walking around, has narrow streets & you will miss something quaint & important. Take a camera tooGuest review bySepticUnited Kingdom - 6.0

It is a lovely place with an ancient castle which has things going on in the year. However, there is little to entertain you after a day or so. the walks around the area are lovely, but you need to be fit, some are very up and down.Guest review byThomasUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We have always liked Newcastle Emlyn.
We have always liked Newcastle Emlyn. The prople are very friendly and there are plenty of shops and places to eat. Harrison's, in my opinion, does the best brunch around. You can also find good food at the Bunch of Grapes a little further down the road. Our favorite Indian is Moe's Spice but you could also try Moonlight Indian. There are also 2 Chinese takeaway restaurants, Super Garden, which is more central, and China Kitchen. You are only about 15 miles to the coast town of Cardigan and the Cardigan Bay area. There are plenty of things to see and do in the area but we generally go for the coastal drives and interesting places along te way.Guest review byMarilynUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We chose staying in St Clears as a base to visit the local coast such as Wisemans Bridge, Amroth, Tenby and others. We know the area well & could also suggest Tenby which is more busy. There are also boat trips the the island if Caldy, nice with older children. Enjoy West Wales, we always find the people are so warm & welcoming. We go most years.Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A small seaside village but offering a few places to eat and drink. Breakfast at Bistro on the Bay and dinner at The Springwell we’re both lovely. The beach is beautiful and unspoilt - great to see it used by families, dogs, surfers and Blue Tit dippers. Very relaxing sea front and convenient parkingGuest review byGillUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We fell in love with Burry Port last year when we stayed to locate a future area to retire to, we had never heard of Burry Port before and instantly fell in love with it and the surrounding area, Pembrey Park is also nearby and is a must to visit. The coast path runs through Burry Port and is used by cyclists runners and walkers alike. Burry Port also has a train station which runs through to Bristol. Also Amelia Earhart landed in Burry Port harbour, first woman to fly across the Atlantic. Well worth a visit. We are now moving to retire nearby so Burry Port will be on our doorstep.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Peaceful and quiet place to stay at.
Peaceful and quiet place to stay at. Spacious and clean property, fully equipped kitchen. Local bread, Welsh beer and honey were left for us in the kitchen. Samantha & Matthew were very pleasant and helpful. Thank you so much!Guest review byKukula
