- From $256.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 365 reviewsTerrance was brilliant, i arrived slightly later then expected, but was greeted well and prompty show my room for the duration of the stay. Traditional English Manor turned into a B&B, Bed was comfortable, TV, ample lights. Hot chocolate, Coffee and Tea avaliable in the rooms. Towels, Robes and personal soap and shower cap provided. Breakfast was brilliant, again traditional english/upper class apperance. See photos below. Waiter was polite and attentive. Overall very warm welcome, i only stayed the one night, but when in the area again i'll be sure to book. I enjoyed reading the history and the various paintings around the old house, including an old Charter from the 1800s. Highly recommended.Guest review byChezneyUnited Kingdom

The facilities were world standard I understand this is one of six hotels/ spas in the Lakes owned by one family . Well they know how to deliver a customer focused , high quality service and they make you feel that you are important and valued The staff were clearly happy .. that lets us a lot about the culture here. I would recommend this place Food and restaurants were superb The rooms were quiet , full of all facilities , comfortable and luxury Thankyou for such a wonderful stay Zac and Zoe were wonderful staff . All the others worked hard to make our stay specialGuest review byColinUnited Kingdom
- From $162.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,678 reviewsI had a superb experience at Mary Mount Hotel! The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, always going out of their way to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, which added a magical touch to our visit. Being so close to Keswick made it incredibly convenient for exploring the area, yet the hotel itself felt like a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The combination of excellent service, stunning views, and a prime location made this an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended!Guest review byCarolineUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 543 reviewsFood quality was great. Bit more variety on the evening meals would help for those staying longer than 4 days but that is being picky. Fantastic breakfast - if there is something you want but cannot find on the buffet then ask the chefs - all very helpful. The spa was amazing and great for a rainy day. Location is perfect for walks and local communities. Room was cozy and comfortable. For 6 days we could have done with booking a bigger room - it is worth checking the options for longer stays - but the bed was super comfy and we wish we'd bought the robes.Guest review byArronUnited Arab Emirates

Windermere town centre is small but has plenty of cafes and restaurants to meet all food lovers types. There are a good selection of shops for gifts etc. and all are within a few hundred yards and not too far from the railway station or buses to travel to other parts of the lakes. It is also a 10 to 15 minute walk to Bowness (downhill) which is also the place to hop on to the lake boats or alternative dining or shopping and the Beatrix Potter experience. My pictures are of the lake side in BownessGuest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Keswick is a beautiful laid back town with lovely restaurants and coffee shops. Fantastic hiking on its door step and great facilities for a small town. We went to the theatre and had a wonderful evening. What makes Keswick so charming is the people, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Coming from Ireland where people generally are very friendly it was refreshing to see a similar outlook amongst the locals. It is obviously a dog lovers paradise and it attracts a lovely visitor- everyone was so nice, perhaps the atmosphere in the town contributed to this- certainly no larger louts about so I think the town has got the mix just right- we like to visit new places but we will certainly make an exception and come back to KeswickGuest review byAndyIreland - 10.0

I knew nothing of Carlisle prior to my visit and we didn't have long to look round but my main feeling was to wonder why nobody's mentioned how lovely it is. It has some stunning historical buildings to see and the city had a nice vibe. It's also really conveniently located for the Lake District and has rail links directly to it. My husband and I have promised each other a longer trip back.Guest review byVanessa - 10.0

Kendal is a great location between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. It is large enough to have a lot of choices of restaurants, grocery and shopping options. The Castle is a lovely walk, it's beautiful, and has lots of walking paths and green spaces for dogs as well as people. We loved the markets and the local towns around, as well.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 8.0
