London had a good vibe, people were friendly, and getting around the city is easy. Train stations are bizarre with so many platforms but we found the staff very helpful. There is a great variety of restaurants with all kinds of different cuisine. The historical parts of London just blows you away and worth investigating.Guest review byGlennAustralia - 8.0

The buffet breakfast was ideal for us and in a very quiet and peaceful setting. There were people around to help you to a seat and so the dining room didn't seem too overcrowded. The staff greeted us and that made a difference to our experience for breakfast!! The room was better than expected and we took a walk in the evening despite it being on a busy road. The reception staff helped with information about the shuttle bus to our terminal and it all worked well. We ate in the evening at the pub down the road which was very busy but good value food.Guest review byElaineUnited Kingdom - 6.0

We stayed in Hounslow area for one primary reason, our hotel was close to the Hounslow Central Tube Station which was close to Heathrow airport for our departing flight and we could take a short tube ride to The Kew Gardens the day before we left. The area of Hounslow Central has a significant immigrate population. It was quiet and safe enough but was different than much of England.Guest review byCrow CamperUnited States - 2.0
Horrible stay with a double bed in a very small room.
Horrible stay with a double bed in a very small room. Whole room was cluttered with furniture. Too small for a double bed. Ideal for a small single bed. Disastress two nights. We will not consider this hotel again and will not reccomend unfortunately.Guest review byHALAWATHAGEUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It is a bustling area of East London with an English working class and immigrant population. For me it was a pied a terre so I cannot speak to the amenities of Ilford itself. The Uber taxi drivers were uniformly helpful. I felt at ease there.]Guest review byLipsonIreland - 6.0

An update to my previous critical review, which was uploaded on 29 April. On 2 May, I received a message from the owner, apologising for the non response, advising that their colleague had found the hearing aids but "hadn''t told them." The owner sent a photo of them, then on my confirmation that they were my hearing aids, posted them to my home address, sending a confirmation of proof of posting. Delivered today. It does leave one or two questions, but the way the owner has acted since my review was posted is commendable. I think Booking.com may need to check a few things. The telephone number on the confirmation is the one the owner responds to when arriving, but subsequent calls to that number elicit the response that it has nothing to do with that property. The communication in the last few days comes from a different number.Guest review bySteveUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Richmond is a delightful little town on the Thames.
Richmond is a delightful little town on the Thames. There is easy access to the river and it's an ideal walking artery. The ancient bridge there means you have easy access to both sides of the river. It's a good base for London and surrounding areas. The public transport by train and bus is extensive. There are two theatres. The Orange Tree is remarkable with proper plays, but it is quickly booked up. There is an Art Deco cinema. It has plenty of restaurants and cafes. Some good ones are near the cinema, going up to Peterham. There are plenty of middle of the range chain shops, but on the side streets ( leading to the Green) there are interesting independents.Guest review byGawperUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I found barking very convenient for traveling into London.the station is right on the high street and it's a short journey into the city.the prices in barking are a lot cheaper than London too and there's plenty of shops and cafes in barking to keep you entertained. All in all I would recommend staying in barking especially if your on a budget.the dreams hotel is cheap and good. Which is only bout 2 mins from train station.plus there's a place at 76 longbridge road where you can stay.lovely ensuite rooms with a shared kitchen which is always clean and tidy.its on the high street bout 3 mins walk to train station.Guest review byNigel - 10.0

I was born in Kingston and lived there for a large piece of my life. I like coming to Kingston as I can catch up with friends and family. Love the restaurants along the Thames tow path and the vast array of shops. London being a stones throw away by train.Guest review bySamiUnited Kingdom
