- From US$121.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 531 reviewsWe booked two rooms, a twin room and a double room. On getting there our double room was upgraded to what seemed to be the main bedroom in the hotel, with a king size four poster bed and beautiful decor. There was also a view from the window to the church and the stately home next door. We felt like some important people had stayed in the room before us, which given the hotel's history goes back to 1492 and the distinguished history of the village, they probably had. The twin room was also very nice, though my mother-in-law took a while took a while to get used to the sound of the macerating toilets in some rooms of the hotel which she hadn't encountered before. We had dinner in the pub restaurant which was very nice. We didn't sample the breakfast so I can't comment on that.Guest review byStuartLatvia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 18 reviewsIt was something different to anywhere we’ve stayed before, they had everything we needed, as it turnt out we’d bought our own cleaning products and tea coffee and sugar but it was all there so we wouldn’t have needed to! The bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a really lovely touch! Our nephew loved the ps3 and it was great there were board games! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!Guest review byCharlotteUnited Kingdom

Gone down-hill in the last few years and no decent shops.
Gone down-hill in the last few years and no decent shops. As with most small towns, completely overtaken with charity shops, vape shops and barbers.....a real shame as we used to love a stroll into the townGuest review byALEXANDERUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Clean. Spacious room overlooking barley fields.
Clean. Spacious room overlooking barley fields. Friendly staff and a tasty breakfast buffet that was all a traveller would need. Excellent value and good to know the Old Great North Road =B1043 which is clue how to get there! We ate authentic Indian cuisine at the Resto next door and took good Value diesel at the 24/7 pumps also next door.Guest review byMrs L LUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Quirky hotel 500 years old.
Quirky hotel 500 years old. Locality - central to village- close to Grantham water and Buckden Towers. Basic room. The hotel requires an upgrade but its architecture is great. The plumbing is a challenge. Overall I enjoyed my stay.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Reception and booking in was very pleasant and efficient.
Reception and booking in was very pleasant and efficient. The room was warm. The bar and evening meal staff were great. The evening meals were really good and they had a nice beer on draught. The shower was too hot or cold; no in-between. The walls are paper thin, meaning I could hear phone calls, taps and toilet visits of next door rooms during the night. Windows and curtains are basic, so I heard people walking past from early morning. Breakfast was lovely.Guest review byAndyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Simon & Linda were charming and welcoming, interested in what I had planned, and how my days had gone. The garden and surrounding views were beautiful, with a nice little walk into the village, where there was a lovely church and pub.Guest review byPaulineUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Both the pub and the above rooms are brand new, spacious and created using the iconic British interior design. Large bathroom with a bath tub and shower very practical, bright and comfortable. The room has everything you need even an iron board and a super coffee machine. The bed is large and the matrass was brand new when I stayed there and I slept very deeply after a good warm bath.. I will definitely recommend it!Guest review byDaniel BalzarpttiUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A sleepy, tiny "one pub" village deep in rural Cambridgeshire. Ideal if you just want to chill-out with a pint in the Stag pub (doesn't open on Sundays). There's no other shops there.Guest review byJOHNUnited Kingdom
