- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,208 reviewsI stayed in the main lodge house; very clean room. Communal kitchen was very clean, roomy, and well organized. The folks running the lodge are extremely friendly and helpful, and the location is just great: showstopping view out over the harbor and Holy Isle. Lamlash is a small village, but very charming and with everything you need. Overall, a fantastic stay!Guest review byBrianSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 339 reviewsEvery modern amenity in a characterful setting, with a long tradition in a single family and great guest care. We enjoyed a late afternoon beer in the bar followed by dinner every night of our stay…every dish very well cooked and presented. The best scampi and chips, ever! And the breakfast choice and quality was in another league, too!Guest review byAlanSpain

One beautiful hotel from the 1850's. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a lovely sea view and everything you need for a nights stay. Dinner menu was great too. Very quiet and peaceful. So pleased we stayed here.Guest review byRhondaAustralia

Charming village on a beautiful bay, with views of the tallest peak on the island. Many interesting little shops, a terrific bakery, and a pub. But too few places are open to eat in the evenings. Easy to shop for groceries for self-catering.Guest review byEugeneUnited States - 8.0

Lamlash is an excellent centre for touring round Arran with its fantastic and varied scenery. Easy access to mountains, beaches and all the facilities one needs to make a great holiday. And only a relatively short drive from the ferry port of Brodick.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We were doing the Arran coastal way and the first 3 nights we stayed here. Buses were easy to get (if times a little limited on a Sunday) so we made it back in time each afternoon. Deer roam the village (don't feed them - if they get too tame they need to be culled) and there are seals in the bay. The walks in the area are good.Guest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Whiting Bay was the perfect location for us for touring . We loved the peace and quiet and it was nice to just walk from our accommodation to Glenashdale Falls . The sea was so clear and safe for swimming .Guest review byDianeIreland - 8.0

Very small place but there is a hotel and presumably a bar too. Wee roll shop which does great breakfast rolls and sandwiches. Fabulous bakers too. We were on Arran to swim so didn’t use much of the facilities in BWF other than the beach.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beautiful and peaceful.
Beautiful and peaceful. We traveled by car which made it easiest to go where we wanted but I hear the bus service is good. Arran has a whole variety of activities- hiking, history, distilleries, incredible food, access to abundant nature and wildlife, and a great pub scene. I bought most of my take home gifts here.Guest review byCampbellUnited States - 10.0

Brodick is a nice little place on the beautiful island of Arran and is well worth a visit for a day trip, a weekend or longer. Arran in general is a great place for a short or long trip to get away from things on the mainland for a bit. just watch out for the midges in the evening.Guest review byalexmiddUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The buses were great but not as frequent as I would have liked - but glad they were available. Machrie Moore stone circles was my favorite spot - would be great if that was a regular drop-off and pick-up stop.Guest review byAnonymous
