FAQs about hotels on Jersey
Beaches Worthy of the Mediterranean
In the English Channel, just off the Normandy coast, Jersey has wonderful beaches that wouldn’t look out of place in the Mediterranean. The largest Channel Island, it is a UK dependency, but has a distinctly Gallic feel and a dialect closer to French than English.
Home to the largest concentration of Jersey hotels, St Helier - the capital - is centred on a harbour protected by 16th-century Elizabeth Castle, an offshore fort beautifully lit at night. Gorey also has fantastic Mont Orgueil castle, which dominates the multi-coloured façades and fishing boats below.
Trinity in the north has one of the Jersey hotels on the beach and a wildlife park. Speaking of animals, in fields nearby and all over the island are fine examples of the brown Jersey cow that originated here.
Grève de Lecq has a beautiful curved beach, while the longest beach runs along the west coast from the St Ouen to St Brelade regions. In between is St Peter, site of Jersey Airport, while the war tunnels in neighbouring St Lawrence are now a museum and one of the most popular Jersey attractions.
Whichever choice you make from the range of apartments, guest houses and hotels in Jersey on Booking.com, it’s comforting to know that you are staying on a Fairtrade Island.

- From US$263.62 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,678 reviewsThe room had a separate bath and shower and was very quiet with blackout dark curtains and comfortable beds. The amenities from plush bathrobe and slippers to sewing kit, vanity kits, shoe shine, mini bar, complimentary water, coffee, and tea facilities were a nice addition. The spa with swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms (aromatherapy and salt) and quiet area was fabulous. Breakfast was overlooking the front of the hotel and was an excellent spread buffet or made to order. The staff were exceptionally pleasant, welcoming and very helpful. The outside bar area was a great place to watch the world go by with additional heaters over the tables I cannot fault this hotel.Guest review byCaroleGuernsey
- From US$133.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 804 reviewsWe enjoyed sitting on the restaurant terrace, overlooking the beach and the ocean, while we were served homecooked breakfast at our table. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a great seaview from our balcony. We were also satisfied with the location of the hotel, since there was a bus stop right down the street, connecting to St Helier. Not forget to mention that there are a couple of great restaurants near the beachfront in St Brelade, check out Oyster Box.Guest review byRandi MariaNorway
- From US$231 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 480 reviewsA great place! Our cottage was very spacious and clean, really worth the money. It was well equipped, incl had a washing machine. The staff was great, really professional, also the outside areas are well taken care of by the maintenance staff/gardeners. Because of the storm and cancelled ferries we ended up staying 8 nights instead of 5, but thanks to good wifi could telework. The hotel is right next to a bus stop, the bus from there will take you to St Aubin+ St Helier. We definitely want to return!Guest review byAnnaBelgium
- From US$260.90 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 653 reviewsWe‘ve got a room on the second floor with an incredible see view. It was an upgrade and we absolutely loved it. Make sure to book a room with the see view and not the one overlooking the country yard and the golf club. The location is really great, outside the touristic area, peaceful and quiet. The hotel is a bit old style but the service is really great. We liked the pool and the garden. The parking area around the hotel is free for guests which is a big plus if you travelling with a car.Guest review byEwaSwitzerland

Frustrating having to find our way around the town, sign posts were either non existent or difficult to find. The island is not suitable to bring a car along as there are already too many cars on the road and parking is not easy in a busy town. The bus station, which we also found hard to find, is great but not enough buses running during the busy holiday period. If you are interested in military history this is the place for you, the history of the occupation during WW2 was fascinating.Guest review byRaymondUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The area of St Clements is lovely, great sandy beaches with free parking and clean public conveniences, and a few lovely pubs to eat at. Small supermarkets (Morrisons and Co-op) are also around and are open late. Easy access to the rest of the island without going through St Helier, if driving, and frequent buses to St Helier or Grouville.Guest review byVannnieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We had the castle behind us and the harbour in front of us which we were able to see from our room. The castle was worth a visit and the harbour and sea coming in and out was pleasant to view with a glass in your hand. Easy access to all over the island,we like history so were able to see the war tunnels and museum. I think we were staying in the right place, away from the hustle and bustle of the capital and other busy places.Guest review bySheilaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
What an absolute hidden gem of a place!
What an absolute hidden gem of a place! Plenty of quality walks from that location. It is quite quiet though so if you want somewhere 'vibrant' then you would be better off in St Helier but if you want quality and a quieter stay then this is the place for you.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Jersey is not very big, but all the parishes have something to offer. St Saviour is on the East side of the island and close to St Helier town centre. Several good hotels and eating places. There is a Howard Davis Park, the War Tunnels, St Saviours Church, and the Hotel de Normandie has an Ayurvedic Spa, has several schools/colleges, and its famous people like Lillie Langtry (1853–1929), British-American socialite, actress and producer from St Saviour.Guest review byMulholland - 10.0

There is a huge and lovely beach here. The area is good for swimming/surfing and it is not too busy. There are lifeguards on a southern section of the beach. We spent a week on Jersey but we could easily have enjoyed a couple of weeks as, beyond the beach itself, there is miles of easily accessible coastline to walk and explore.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Great place to stay, picturesque, quaint, very 'chocolate box'. Fab if you like that sort of thing, I guess. It is a little off the beaten track but again, that's probably a plus. Not much choice for eating and what is there, apart from the 'Hungry Man' cafe, is not cheap. Could do with a general stores perhaps?Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lots of sites to visit within easy walking distance of the harbour. The Georgian House, Maritime Museum and Elizabeth Castle were all fabulous places to visit. We enjoyed our ride on Le Petit Train to St Aubin's Bay and back. We found fabulous cafes - our favourite was Cafe Paraiso. Our favourite restaurant was The Rigatoni. The bus service to visit different parts of the island was absolutely excellent. The Jersey War Tunnels were fascinating and very moving - a short bus ride from the bus station.Guest review byJanetUnited Kingdom
