We enjoyed walking around the neighbourhoods, the friendliness of locals, nice range of pubs and excellent meals. We enjoyed walking thru the fields behind the top of Constitution Hill (furnicular). We spent lovely half a day at the National Library and surrounds. Beach and promenade is lovely and especially around the spit beyond the castle. Sublime walking in Aber town itself. we had just 2 full days, with one more, would take Rheidol Railway & Devil’s Bridge.Guest review byIan GarethCanada - 8.0

Brecon is a great little centre for walking with a nice atmosphere and plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. We live an hours drive away but it is really nice to book for a weekend away and to explore the area, the weather isn’t always kind so staying in Brecon provides for alternatives if necessary.Guest review byDawnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A lovely town with plenty of pubs and restaurants.
A lovely town with plenty of pubs and restaurants. The beach is lovely and there was a sauna on the beach too! 3 places I would highly recommend: 1. Bistro Bermo for amazing food. You will need to book as it's only small. 2. Dylan's for fabulous cakes, savouries & coffee 3. Pieces for Places for gifts, homewares and furniture. There was a small market on Sunday and I think there is one on another day too. Plenty of choice of shops. I would also recommend a walk across the bridge.Guest review byLindsey - 10.0

The purpose of our visit was to see a show at the Borough Theatre. Hence we only stayed one night. We live in Bristol so Abergavenny is not far. However we decided to stay over and have a meal rather than driving back after the show. The Theatre was good and we would visit again. We had dinner at the Anatolian restaurant which was excellent. I know Turkish food and it was good. We would consider visiting again and staying over to do some walking or seeing the sites.Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was only there for one evening and 1 day and spent a few hours in the town, I found the people to be friendly and the town small but charming and very picturesque. Nice shops and pubs and a great antique/ second hand shop.Guest review byjohnUnited Kingdom - 6.0

If you are looking for an amazing beach with great dunes for long walks Aberdyfi is great. Other than that it is a very quiet seaside town with a few shops and places to eat. There is a train station that can take you along the coast, also a golf club and a bowling clubGuest review byAmandaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I don't travel too far from the property, as I am happy with the local context, but if you like travelling out, then there is lots on locally and further out of Llandovery. Lots of stillness, peace and enjoying the natural world. Due to allergies, cooking facilities in the property make it really easy for eating in. Solo and families can enjoy lots of walks. A scattering of independent shops and pubs to enjoy.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

My Stay was excellent,Breakfast was cooked to perfection, My room was very clean and tidy, I Couldn't ask for more. I asked for a lower bed pillow which was supplied the same day with a slim one,There hospitality was exceptional Couldn't do enough for you to make you feel welcome,My motorcycle was safely parked in there garage,And every morning the garage doors were opened for me, Which was a very helpfull ack of kindness. Would definitely recommend and stay again, Thank you for a lovely four day stay.Guest review byJonUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Rhayader is a lovely town but there is nothing much there anymore. It is the gateway town to Elan Valley, which is absolutely awesome...... the scenery and the walks are stunning. Couple of nice places to eat in Rhayader .... the Triangle and the Eagle. Theres a lovely riverside walk and the Gigrin is a must to see the Red Kites.Guest review byAndieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous.
The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous. Fantastic people working there, the food is excellent, with large portions, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. There are quite a few pubs in Builth Wells centre, but nome of them match the Seven Stars at Aberedw. Visit the White Hart in Builth Wells, a locals pub, but they make you feel very welcome.Guest review byDaveUnited Kingdom
