- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 768 reviewsBooked to see concert at Open Air Theatre and to spend weekend at Scarborough. Venue was just a minute walk away from The Sands. Accommodation was on the beach so we just walked on to beach for a swim from the Apartment block. 5+ star quality. High tech security. Welcome Hamper awaited us with milk, tea and biscuits, packet of crisps, mini bottle of wine, beer and even sparkling water. Staff were really caring and friendly. I had a fall while walking, so they even provided me with bandage dressing and plasters. Apartment had all mod cons you can think of. Very tastefully furnished. Even Netflix on HD TV. Everything was perfect!Guest review bygerryUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,686 reviewsEverything was beautiful. The house was so beautiful. Immaculate. Location lovely facilities nice. Washing machine, at the property and and a dish washer was a luxury to say the least when having 7 for family dinner. It is beautiful for all ages, the swimming pool , sauna and steam room are lovely. The little arcade and shop, with an onsite pharmacy is so convenient. Takeaway wine is very pricey from the bar but they do a mean long island cocktail. XGuest review byJayUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 204 reviewsThis was a beautiful gem of a place the location was amazing to use as a base to explore what Yorkshire has to offer. The lodge was clean and beautifully decorated and had a comfortable homely feeling to it making it easy to instantly relax into the peace and quiet. The extra touches that I asked for for my partner's 40th birthday (banners, cake, mulled wine and a box of chocolates) were excellent quality and a lovely surprise for my partner walking in.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom
- From US$83.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.0Good - What previous guests thought, 5,958 reviewsThe Royal Hotel was a visit of nostalgia for me, as I had stayed there as a child over fifty years ago. The staff, knowing this, were extremely pleasant and welcoming. The hotel is currently going through some updating but the 'bones' of the design are as they were. Special thanks go to Adamo and Lewis for their hospitality and helpfulness.Guest review byLouisePortugal

Harrogate is lovely - plenty of shops - little boutiques and a variety of Restaurants and Bars - we stayed for one night and went to Bettys Tea Rooms for Afternoon tea - Nightlife is quieter than most towns but there are bars which cater for all tastes and ones that stay open late - we went to the Blues Cafe Bar which has Live Music 7 x day per week. Train station and bus station in Centre - also there is a wonderful Valley Park which is worth a visitGuest review bydanitaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great place for coastal walks and trying local beers.
Great place for coastal walks and trying local beers. Plenty of history regarding Captain Cook, and the Dracula legend. The beach looks like it would be great in summer, we visited off season so all we did was walk along it. It looks like there would be plenty of sightseeing trips by boat, and fishing trips, available in summer. There is a great variety of restaurants, pubs, and smaller hotels, which should cater for most tastes. The emphasis is on fish dishes, and local beers and gins. There's no need for a car around town, but it is hilly. Bring decent walking shoes!Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beautiful walks along the esplanade above South Bay.
Beautiful walks along the esplanade above South Bay. Accessible North and South Bay beaches but Cayton Bay fantastic. Typical seaside amusements if you like that kind of thing but the quieter parts and surrounding countryside including Cleveland Way walks superb. I fell in love with Scarborough.Guest review byCharlesUnited Kingdom - 8.0

This is a lovely and picturesque town in the incomparably lovely Yorkshire dales. There is a lovely market square with nice shops and restaurants, a fabulous Georgean theatre, a terrific castle to explore, and a nearby ruined abby that is an easy walk from the centre of town. (Every town needs a ruined abbey, right?)Guest review byBeverleeCanada - 8.0

We weren't there long enough to really get to know the village (town?) but it looked as if there were some interesting walks for the dogs, an interesting river, birdwatching oportunities etc, and quite a few pubs for a place that size! Always a good shout. It also lacked a really busy main road cutting through (at least, from where we were staying) so not much traffic noise and easy to get about without getting knocked down!Guest review byo loan - 8.0

Selby is a very pleasant place with some nice bars, good pubs and a cathedral that holds some fun events. The Jinnah restaurant was a good shout for a pre-event meal and The Doghouse Craft Beer bar was an excellent choice for a late drink.Guest review byShawnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Well what can I say an absolute little jewel of a town.
Well what can I say an absolute little jewel of a town. Plenty to see from the town square and high street. Down to the river walks, The Lady Chapel, The Castle. River boats (but only till October) Mother Shipton's Cave. Got to mention the very quaint and beautiful railway station. It is quite hilly but with patience and care it can be got around we are in our late 60's and we managed. Watch out for the blue plaques on the historical buildings reading them is a real eye opener. Plenty of pubs to choose from but the Worlds End Pub has to be our favourite. The food there was very reasonably priced. Portion size is very generous and well presented and the staff are lovely nice place to take a break.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

thirsk is not the biggest of places but it was very nice, only thing is, if you need a taxi, regardless if their is racing on or not, you cannot get one, it seems that the odd individual people have one car and thats it, there's no taxi company as such and its pot luck if you manage to get one.Guest review byjanetUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Settle is a lovely little town.
Settle is a lovely little town. We were there in the rain, but could still enjoy what it has to offer. The musuem is free to visit and a good way to learn a little of the history. Nice Chinese take-away thats good value too. Scenery nearby is stunning- would definitely recommend taking the train to Carlisle, across the Ribblehead viaduct. (Road route of settle to hawes is beautiful too, even in a downpour) We would definitely like to return to the area. A weekend visit was too short!Guest review byAngelaUnited Kingdom
