Excellent facility in a lovely village. Ambience and food good, staff very pleasant. I would rate this accommodation as 4.5 out of 5 Our room had a new en suite, could do with new beds as we found them soft. A surprisingly spacious small cottage, extremely comfortable with a sizeable kitchen. It is situated in a quiet area with a pub only 200 metres away. Having a secure lawned garden, this property would suit solo visitors, couples and small families, and dogs are allowed. Although parking is on the road this was never a problem. The location of our accommodation meant we were able to visit several places in Rutland - as well as just on the outskirts - including Stamford, Uppingham, Oakham (and Melton Mowbray on our return home!) Uppingham itself is a small market type town with some interesting independent shops and pubs.
