- From US$194.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 908 reviewsRooms are incredibly clean and spacious with a fabulous power shower. Breakfast was lovely and well thought out by giving you a menu card to fill out the night before so they knew what to cook for you in advance. As we travelled in August I was so pleased to see a desk fan on top of the wardrobe to provide cooler air, which made for a very pleasant nights sleep. The location is perfect for exploring the Yorkshire DalesGuest review byAnnmarieUnited Kingdom
- From US$154.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 886 reviewsWe had a fantastic 3 nights here, using Aysgarth as our base. We walked to the Falls and through St Andrew's Church from here. If the weather had been a little better, we would have walked to Bolton Castle. (Well worth a visit) The breakfast and dinners were great! Loved my first ever Yorkshire Pudding! Our unit was a good size, very clean, fast wifi with good parking. We would highly recommend.Guest review byColleenAustralia

Settle is a picturesque village with lots of shops, pubs, cafes and independant stores. There are lots of scenic walks from the village centre. The Golden Lion is excellent for a meal and drink. The other bars are all friendly and prices are reasonable.Guest review byDeborahUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Breathtaking scenery.
Breathtaking scenery. It’s like stepping back into a simpler time, the town itself is so quaint and friendly but the countryside walks are to die for. It’s like a walking through a real live painting! Highly recommend a visit and doing some walks.Guest review bySmith - 10.0

Reeth is a little gem of a village in the heart of fell walking. Cafes, ice cream parlour, traditional pubs offering good hearty food, post office shop, church and plenty more. Excellent of road parking for an optional few pounds donation. Scenery and walking is all around, just stunning.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The village was quaint .
The village was quaint . The waterfall trail was amazing ,a must if you stay here or are just visiting for the day . The locals were so friendly and helpful . I wanted to do white scar caves but I read you had to bend down and squeeze through in places which I didn’t feel comfortable doing unfortunately. Countryside was stunning so many villages to discover in the area .Guest review byTonyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Fabulous place to visit.
Fabulous place to visit. Lots of walking options including easy and accessible as well as longer and more challenging day hikes. Some evening good options including the village with others a short drive or longer walk away.Guest review byChristineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Gargrave is only a small village but there is a supermarket, garden centre and a few shops and places to eat and drink. It depends what you want from a holiday. If you're looking for "lively" then this is not the place for you. If you're happy with peace and quiet then this is it. Skipton is a lovely town to visit, especially when the market is on. If you have a car, a trip to Boundary Mill at Colne is highly recommended. You can spend a good few hours there browsing around the store. We ate at our hotel every night so cannot recommend anywhere in Gargrave to eat.Guest review byPatriciaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

On our first stay in 2019 we did a lot of walking and looking at incredible waterfalls. On our second stay in 2025 it was raining most of the time as a storm came through, but it didn't stop us getting out for two days of visiting Bolton Castle with an excellent tour, Grassington (where All Creatures Great and Small was staged) and a very interesting small historical museum, Wensleydale and of course, lunch and cheeses at Wensleydale Creamery Cafe!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Caw Cottage is simply wonderful.
Caw Cottage is simply wonderful. It has everything you will need for a relaxing stay in the Yorkshire Dales. Perfectly placed to explore this beautiful area and with Sedbergh just a few miles down the road with a number of good pubs/restaurants, everything is within easy reach. Caw Cottage is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The bed is super comfortable too. The hosts are nearby, very friendly and helpful, but very respectful of your privacy. Caw Cottage is a gem of a place. Well worth the visit.Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom
