Heswall is a friendly little town, with a good selection of small shops and eateries. Please do visit the book shop! From the outside it looks like any other shop, but step inside and you will be bowled over with what's on offer, which even includes a cafe. Heswall offers easy access to other destinations on The Wirrall, including the delightful West Kirby. It is a great spot to explore places further afield, such as North Wales, Chester and Liverpool.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

i enjoy viewing architecture & art, so the old buildings whether occupied or abandoned I find interesting to check out. I was total self sufficient with my food so did not eat out locally. Birkenhead & its adjacent districts are fairly well sign posted. Satnav is good. but without postal codes, mistakes can be made with journeys to wrong places.Guest review byMARTIN WEBBUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We enjoy the walk along the promenade which has such wonderful views across the Mersey and Liverpool. We had plenty of choice of eating places near our apartment and enjoyed eating at The Magazine and The Ferry,Guest review byjanetUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We went to the Lady Lever Art gallery, which is well worth a visit. Had tea in the tea rooms opposite Port Sunlight train station, as the tea rooms at lady lever was temporarily closed. With more time we would have had a good look around the village and it's beautiful historic buildings.Guest review byDawnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We have family on the Wirral and wanted a base from which to visit Liverpool. We also visited Port Sunlight on this trip, but have explored the Wirral and Crosby/Formby areas before. Wirral in general is lovely to visit with good walks and nice beaches. There are also plenty of good places to eat, in addition to plenty of public transport.Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We used taxis for most of our travels although a train station is not very far. Up the road from The Bebington, we went to a Pub called the Sizzling part of the Acorn. Good food great atmosphere. Close to Liverpool and Chester. We were there for a Wedding close by . Lovely. Small village but nice . Nothing flashy. Enjoyed it.Guest review byNorbertMalta - 10.0
A good selection of bars, coffee shops and restaurants.
A good selection of bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Regular type of shops but Independent shops too. Good train service and station close to town. Buses run regularly too. A nice walk along the promenade blows the cobwebs away.Guest review bySallyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Friendly welcome, independent shops, walks to Hilbre, Red rocks, the sea lake, and a day in Ness. It is a place at peace with itself and has a cafe culture - people looked well and restaurants were busy - not sure if people visit from outside the area to eat but the sailing and windsurfing facilities were a big attraction and fun to watchGuest review byLindaUnited Kingdom
