A very nice room with kind staff. The room was clean and big, and we loved the personal touch for our honeymoon. Being able to use the pantry was lovely! It was filled with all sorts of snacks. The location was very close to the centre of York, a short walk to the Minster. The breakfast was superb as well!

Leeds is a city full of culture historic buildings and places and university. The areas near the river are getting more regeneration to make it attractive to locals and tourists. It’s buzzing with young people and night life. There’s a range of galleries and museums ,the library is a must visit . The variety of Restaurants and cafes offer satisfaction to all tastes and ages. I was pleasantly impressed with what Leeds has to offer. And the future is bright for this lovely city.

I only came to see my friend who started to study at the University. But it was really nice surprise how the city was nice. People are very friendly. I love the old buildings, old church, and the new architecture, all nicely mixed and nicely done. I also love the tram. I felt the city was really safe. Lots of nice restaurants and pubs. I also found very reasonable guesthouse with the parking. This guesthouse made me to stay longer in the city. the size of the city is just right. Not too big. Not too small. I am looking forward to going back next month to explore more.

Harrogate is a busy city centre with loads of places to eat and shop. It's a lovely walking city, but you also have the ability to pay and park. Be prepared to pay everywhere you park; that is the downside. Harrogate has a lovely high street, but you can find affordable items in many shops downtown. You are also close to other market towns such as Skipton, Ripon, Pateley Bridge, and more. All towns offer wonderful things to do for couples and/or families.

Great place for coastal walks and trying local beers.

Great place for coastal walks and trying local beers. Plenty of history regarding Captain Cook, and the Dracula legend. The beach looks like it would be great in summer, we visited off season so all we did was walk along it. It looks like there would be plenty of sightseeing trips by boat, and fishing trips, available in summer. There is a great variety of restaurants, pubs, and smaller hotels, which should cater for most tastes. The emphasis is on fish dishes, and local beers and gins. There's no need for a car around town, but it is hilly. Bring decent walking shoes!

I have visited Scarborough many times over the years.

I have visited Scarborough many times over the years. For me it is one of those special British resorts. I usually stay at The Grand which is ideally located and has value for money rooms and a superb breakfast room overlooking the beach below. Scarborough has a wealth of eating places and some great pubs. And some very tasty Fish & Chip restaurants on the promenade below The Grand. Scarborough is a great base for discovering the magical coastline from Whitby Robin Hood's Bay and Ravenscar to the north and Filey Bempton Cliffs and Bridlington to the south. And don't forget the North York Moors inland with the impressive North York Moors Railway. For me Scarborough has it all.

Huddersfield doesn't have the best of reputations, which is a pity. I think that it's an absolute gem. The buildings are gorgeous, particularly to one who looks, such detail and reference to the industrial past. From the entrance steps to the railway station, one can see a lion and a prime minister. If you roam and keep your eyes open, there is so much more. I ate at my hotel. i travelled by car,
