- From US$82.43 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,413 reviewsI had a wonderful experience at this hotel in Patras and would like to share my thoughts in this review. First and foremost, the location is excellent as it is conveniently situated near numerous tourist attractions. This made it incredibly easy for me to explore and enjoy everything the city has to offer. The breakfast at this hotel deserves special mention as it was truly outstanding. The variety and quality of the food provided exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend guests to include breakfast in their booking. It's a delightful way to start the day and fuel up for the adventures ahead. Additionally, I found the facilities in the room to be of great quality. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and functional, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout. It's always a relief when a hotel pays attention to these details, and this establishment certainly impressed me in that regard. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Patras. With its prime location, delicious breakfast, and well-appointed rooms, it offers a fantastic experience for travelers.Guest review bySimplexChina
- From US$120.35 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,330 reviewsThe room was a great size, plenty of room, it was clean and the balcony with a view across the sea was wonderful. Great addition was the tea and coffee facility in the room, as well as the fridge and safe, plus water dispensers on each floor and bottles in the room to refill. The bathroom was lovely, I think it could have done with a small barrier to stop the water escaping but it was not a problem. The bed was amazingly comfortable too, we had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was really good, plenty of choice of hot and cold food, always being replenished with tea and coffee that was really nice. All of the staff we spoke with were very friendly and the whole place was lovely and clean, of course some of the decor in the room was well worn but that is not a problem and doesn't detract from the great stay we had. The hotel itself was approximately 20 minute walk into the centre but it was a lovely walk, there are plenty of shops on the way. Locally are supermarkets and coffee shops. The huge car park opposite the hotel is free, safe and with plenty of space.Guest review byValerieUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 75 reviewsEverything. This is an exceptional oasis in the heart of Peloponnese, representing the true essence of Greek hospitality. From the room to the breakfast, from the garden to the restaurant, the place is a mix of traditional architecture with a modern presentation of the wildlife to be found in the Greek forests. Breakfast was awesome, and so was the overall experience. We will definitely go again.Guest review byΘεοδωροςGreece

From here, you can use a bus to reach Kiato, Corinth and Athens very cheaply. It is a beautiful town with nice monuments and ancient traditions. Pleasant city, active nightlife, many shops and excellent cuisine. From the Gulf of Patra you enter the Peloponnese. It is the right place to start a trip to Greece if you arrive by ferry from Italy, either with your own vehicle or simply on foot.Guest review byGiovanni RemondiniItaly - 4.0
The town is a tourist base.
The town is a tourist base. Not particularly interesting or pleasant. We only went for the railway trip, but unfortunately it was cancelled on the two days we were there, due to falling rocks on the line. This doesn't happen very often apparently...we were just unlucky. There are cave lakes to visit but we didn't do that. The car journey to the town is wonderful both ways - from Dimitsana and Diakopto.Guest review byRosieUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The place is not to heavy on tourists, they and we mainly come for the Vouraiko train (must see!). It would have been great to have known upfront that the seats on the train are not many so booking is necessary.Guest review bySonjaNetherlands - 10.0

The area along the water is quaint and lovely. Beautiful for walking. Note that cafes are open during the day but dinner options, most restaurants do not open until 7:30 or 8 or even later. The scenery is stunning as was the drive there.Guest review byKatinaGreece - 10.0
Everything was very good and closely spaced with each other.
Everything was very good and closely spaced with each other. The weather was good and the sea was clean with very beautiful and well rounded pebbles. Super market and various food establishments were in an 100 meter radious. Very easy to walk, shop and dine without using any transportation.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
There isn't really much to Rio.
There isn't really much to Rio. It used to be where the ferries crossed to go to the North of Greece. The area to the right of the bridge as you go down has many restaurants and bars along the beach and the locals go swimming there a lot. On the other side to the left of the bridge there are again many nice restaurants and bars. One of the restaurants we went to was perfect. The Nafto oikos. They were fully booked but found a table for us by the kitchen and the food was exceptional. Rio is great if you are visiting Patras or on a stopover. There isn't really much to do there long term.Guest review byJohnGreece - 8.0

Comfortable bed, large closet with room for luggage. Strong and reliable wifi signal. Good breakfast, and dinner was delicious. Helpful and friendly staff. No separate area for smokers in common area, and spiral stairs to upper floors are steep rise/run.Guest review byAdventuresWithSweetTartUnited States - 10.0

It was nice, quiet and not too touristy which made the trip more relaxing. The bakery's were really nice and everything you needed could be found in the town easily. We had a friend with a car whilst we were there which made it easier to go out and have days out as it was a bit far out from some places, but we liked that about itGuest review byMollyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Patra has some great archaeological sites & a castle but don't visit on a Tuesday as they are closed all day. It was easy to walk where I wanted to. There were lots of buses but I didn't have time to find out where you could travel to. So for those who don't want to walk I'm sure public transport could be an option. There were many bars & cafes. Interesting street & shops. You are close to the port if you wish to get a ferry to somewhere.Guest review byBrendaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Lovely town with wide spaces, friendly people and some compelling history attached to it from the Holocaust and the Greek Independence . Great meal at a local restaurant that was delicious and very traditional. Unfortunately it is difficult to get around without a car and taxis are way too expensive. To get to Ayia Lavra which is 4 kms away they wanted 20 euro up and back. In the end we didn't go to any monastery. They should have buses that go up and back, at least during the tourist seasonGuest review byHelenAustralia
