This hotel is very elegant and well-located near the heart of the city. We were able to park the car nearby and breakfast was excellent. The rooms are very clean. The AC didn't work in our room so they moved us to a different room, letting us use both rooms if we wanted to. Very good hotel

Best hospitality ever in Greece! The hotel owner Γιάννης and his team are so considerate welcomig enthusiastic efficient and professional. The receptionist team are so helpful and sweet. Food and drinks are very tasty. The housekeeping is so professional always take really good care of the room. The hotel has the best location for Apokrias activity! Highly recommending! Great location for restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. 30 mins walk from ferry and 10min walk to bus/train station. The room and bathroom were modern and very clean with a nice balcony and city view. The breakfast we thoroughly enjoyed with a good variety of food. And the staff were very helpful in terms of early check in/bag storage. Totally recommend.

The professionalism of the staff members was evident in their attention to detail and their dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. What stood out most was their constant positivity and happiness. It was evident that they love what they do, and their enthusiasm was infectious. Whether it was the friendly faces at the front desk, the attentive waitstaff in the dining area, or the housekeeping team, everyone seemed genuinely delighted to be of service. The food was very delicious!! Our family room was always clean and incredibly comfortable. It provided the perfect haven after a day of exploration and relaxation. We felt right at home.     Everything. This is an exceptional oasis in the heart of Peloponnese, representing the true essence of Greek hospitality. From the room to the breakfast, from the garden to the restaurant, the place is a mix of traditional architecture with a modern presentation of the wildlife to be found in the Greek forests.     The hotel is really new and superbly located. Close to the city centre, close to the sea, shops, caffes. Breakfast at Rubiks, and there is a great souvlaki place at Konstantinoupoleos 58 street. Try Freddo espresso! We liked the place so much that we stayed another day! Free parking!

    From here, you can use a bus to reach Kiato, Corinth and Athens very cheaply. It is a beautiful town with nice monuments and ancient traditions. Pleasant city, active nightlife, many shops and excellent cuisine. From the Gulf of Patra you enter the Peloponnese. It is the right place to start a trip to Greece if you arrive by ferry from Italy, either with your own vehicle or simply on foot.

    The town is a tourist base.

    The town is a tourist base. Not particularly interesting or pleasant. We only went for the railway trip, but unfortunately it was cancelled on the two days we were there, due to falling rocks on the line. This doesn't happen very often apparently...we were just unlucky. There are cave lakes to visit but we didn't do that.The car journey to the town is wonderful both ways - from Dimitsana and Diakopto.

    The place is not to heavy on tourists, they and we mainly come for the Vouraiko train (must see!). It would have been great to have known upfront that the seats on the train are not many so booking is necessary.

    The area along the water is quaint and lovely. Beautiful for walking. Note that cafes are open during the day but dinner options, most restaurants do not open until 7:30 or 8 or even later. The scenery is stunning as was the drive there.

    There isn't really much to Rio.

    There isn't really much to Rio. It used to be where the ferries crossed to go to the North of Greece. The area to the right of the bridge as you go down has many restaurants and bars along the beach and the locals go swimming there a lot. On the other side to the left of the bridge there are again many nice restaurants and bars. One of the restaurants we went to was perfect. The Nafto oikos. They were fully booked but found a table for us by the kitchen and the food was exceptional. Rio is great if you are visiting Patras or on a stopover. There isn't really much to do there long term.

    Everything was very good and closely spaced with each other. The weather was good and the sea was clean with very beautiful and well rounded pebbles. Super market and various food establishments were in an 100 meter radious. Very easy to walk, shop and dine without using any transportation.

    Comfortable bed, large closet with room for luggage. Strong and reliable wifi signal. Good breakfast, and dinner was delicious. Helpful and friendly staff. No separate area for smokers in common area, and spiral stairs to upper floors are steep rise/run.

    It was nice, quiet and not too touristy which made the trip more relaxing. The bakery's were really nice and everything you needed could be found in the town easily. We had a friend with a car whilst we were there which made it easier to go out and have days out as it was a bit far out from some places, but we liked that about it

    Patra has some great archaeological sites & a castle but...

    Patra has some great archaeological sites & a castle but don't visit on a Tuesday as they are closed all day. It was easy to walk where I wanted to. There were lots of buses but I didn't have time to find out where you could travel to. So for those who don't want to walk I'm sure public transport could be an option. There were many bars & cafes. Interesting street & shops. You are close to the port if you wish to get a ferry to somewhere.

    Lovely town with wide spaces, friendly people and some compelling history attached to it from the Holocaust and the Greek Independence . Great meal at a local restaurant that was delicious and very traditional. Unfortunately it is difficult to get around without a car and taxis are way too expensive. To get to Ayia Lavra which is 4 kms away they wanted 20 euro up and back. In the end we didn't go to any monastery. They should have buses that go up and back, at least during the tourist season
