Fantastic and relaxing stay in a great location to enjoy all that Astypalaia can offer! It was a pleasure to stay at Hotel Paradissos which is a lovely, clean and comfortable hotel. We were met with a very nice service when we arrived, we walked to the Hotel but you can request a shuttle aswell! The breakfast is simple but amazing, fresh cake and bread from a bakery nearby and fresh fruits, all our needs were met, and you have a lot of choices. The room was amazing and beautifully done aswell, we booked the economy one and it was just beautiful! The beds are beautifully crafted and it made us feel right at home. The mattress was a bit hard but the Staff there made sure we would feel comfortable immediately. No matter your concern, they will be there for you and they even booked an amazing boat tour for us. The pool is clean and has a infinity pool vibe, the pool bar meets your every need, and the hotel has two very cute cats that love fresh water and a little cuddle if you manage to gain their trust. All in all we could not be happier with our choice to stay there! Thank you for making our engagement vacation the best one possible.

    The town is built on a very steep hillside, with most of the restaurants and bars at the top. In the summer there is a bus that runs from the beach to the top. If you come by ferry, check the sailing times, as most are middle of the night and the main port is not at Pera Gyalos. The roads leave a lot to be desired.

    Analipsi is a gorgeous village in Astypalea.

    Analipsi is a gorgeous village in Astypalea. If you are looking for a relaxed and peaceful stay, a gorgeous clean beach, low key cafes and restaurants (lots of fish dishes and seafood) it is THE perfect place to go. No noisy bikes / scooters. Perfect for couples (not much for children) wanting a stress free break. Car hire would be beneficial to get to the Chora (a 15 minute drive) and enjoy the excellent views, and sample the lovely food. But it is possible to do without a car, using the bus or the "Astybus" which will pick you up on request.

    Magical views, great food, good restaurants ( from 1/2$-$-$$) close to Livadi beach ( steep but walking distance) close to port . Cheap taxi service.5€ to get around.Astybus (electric small busses)picks you up where every you are ( cheap). Very friendly locals.

    Another cute Greek island.

    Another cute Greek island. I have been to 15+ Greek islands over 50 times in total. It is similar to many other Greek islands. Small, cute. The castle and the old town looks really lovely. We went in mid-August. Although the island had probably around 5000 visitors, because there are few restaurants and options, all places were packed. Most of my Greek friends consider Astypalaia as the best Greek island, however in my view it's fine, cute, but I wouldn't say it's more beautiful than many other Greek islands.
