As an Australian I didn’t come for the beaches….
As an Australian I didn’t come for the beaches…. Ours are first class but the sea water is more beautiful and crystal clear in the Mediterranean and Adriatic. The town itself is unique with quaint cobbled alleyways and restaurants everywhere and shops. It’s European style . Summer must be a nightmare with all the tourists so September for us was great, still warm and good weather. The bus routes are on opposite sides of the waterfront. One bus runs that way and the other ,the other way …… hope that makes sense. One leaves from the old port and the other from Fabrika square . Plenty of hired scooters or quad bikes available to explore the island . My first impression was not favourable but the next day had a better impression and enjoyed the two days in Mykonos . Long enough for me . We stayed in a beautiful hotel at the top of the hill called hotel Damianos … beautiful beautiful hotel , lovely breakfast, super friendly staff , lovely pool area and very reasonably priced . Would highly recommendGuest review byBelinda GAustralia - 8.0

Fira is a great town full of varied shops and fantastic places to eat. It can be expensive so plan a little extra money for food though! There are plenty of things to do an see in the town and the public transport to other areas of the island are quite frequent and cheap. There are lots of steep inclines and stairs so keep that in mind, you'll be doing a lot of walking up hillsGuest review byLawson - 8.0
Naxos Chora is a wonderful place to visit for a short while.
Naxos Chora is a wonderful place to visit for a short while. The older/medieval part is a labirinth of alleys, well worth wandering around and discovering art galleries and shops hidden away. The front is full of taverners catering for all tastes, but it can get very busy. Alternatively you can walk away from the front to have a calmer meal in one of the excellent family taverners. St Georges beach is nearby, a nice sandy bay, with a long slope out into the sea. There is easy access to the ferry terminals, but a taxi will be required to get to and from the airport.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Oia is stunning, especially at sunset, but in September it felt overrun with cruise ship crowds and influencers. We loved our simple apartment with its incredible views, starry nights, and the local cats and donkeys. Food and wine are excellent but expensive, and swimming isn’t easy without hiring a car or scooter. Beautiful to see once, but not ideal if you’re on a budget or want a relaxed swim-and-rest holiday.Guest review bygowc28United Kingdom - 10.0
Parikia is a great location.
Parikia is a great location. More authentic and less busy than Naoussa. Shopping and restaurant's were great and in my opinion much cheaper than Naoussa. We went on a day long boat trip to swim and snorkel which was excellent. It was fully catered and went to all best swimming spots.Guest review byJoanneAustralia - 10.0
We loved spending 6 nights in Paros. We rented a car.
We loved spending 6 nights in Paros. We rented a car. It was stick shift. A tad scary for me. But it was doable. Paros has great beach clubs. My daughters booked horse riding one day and then walked to the nearby town. After we met at a great beach club, we had lots of great dinners and sunsets. Fabulous shops. We drove to Leifros one day. We like Paros best. Taxis were outside the hotel. Also there was a transport office two doors up that arranged rides to beach club for us and picked us up. Our water sports boat trip was cancelled bc of weather but we went to beach clubs,Guest review byGeraldineUnited States - 10.0
Adamantas is a perfect location for proximity to the Port.
Adamantas is a perfect location for proximity to the Port. So many great restaurants - all within walking distance. I loved the beach because I am a swimmer and the water was so calm there, it felt like a swimming pool!Guest review byEschedorUnited States - 10.0
Kamari is great to visit.
Kamari is great to visit. Nothing is too far, you can get the local buses to Fira, or the airport. I went on a full day tour and visited most places such as pyrgos, tharisia island, hot springs, volcano, Oia for sunset. All very beautiful. You have to trek the scenic view from Oia to Fira- one of the best walks in the world! Every place I ate was delicious. Never had a disappointing meal.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

On arrival it is confusing - hotel is built on upper slopes of caldera, so it has different levels. On the plus side as soon as you leave the hotel you are on the famous Fira/Oia walk - turn right for Fira. You are on the highest part of the caldera so initially it is downhill, also you are close to Skaros rock which is worth visiting for the views and has a church partially hidden on the seaward side at a slightly lower elevation. As long as you can look to the sea you will have great sunset views wherever you are,my hotel patio was great for this.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Having stayed two weeks in Perissa, I dare say I know it a bit. It's a great mix of not too big of a town, plenty of groceries shopping spots, Restaurants with some great offers, nice beaches (even though one has to get used to black sand) and cultural spots like a very nice Orthodox Church and some historic ruins if you dare to hike a bit. It's wasn't too crowded either, so if you consider going, do so Early - Mid September.Guest review bySherman SiegeLuxembourg
