- From US$55.26 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 43 reviewsGreat, confortable apartment with sea views Ntina was a fantastic host, and met us at the port to take the short drive up to the apartment The apartment had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Equipped kitchen, very good air con, a confortable bed and an outdoor seating area. The apartment is a short 5 minute walk into the village where you will find shops, a bakery, bars and restaurants and also the town beach which is beautiful Just a 20 minute walk from the apartment you will find Kedros Beach which was our favourite You can easily get the bus from just outside the apartment to other beaches on the island We would love to go back to Donoussa and we would definitely stay at the same apartmentsGuest review byMatthewSpain
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 102 reviewsWe really loved staying here and plan to return soon. Dimitri is a great host, warm, welcoming and friendly. He picked us up and dropped us off at the port and regularly checked with us to see if there was anything we needed. The room was a great size and had been recently updated and decorated. Really comfortable bed and lovely bed linen and towels. The room was cleaned everyday. It had a good functional kitchen. Bathroom was brilliant, rainfall shower with good water pressure and lots of hot water. We liked the location a lot. Just at the edge of the town with great sea views and set in a garden. Nice atmosphere, perfect for unwinding and chilling out.Guest review byColmUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 149 reviewsFrom the moment you arrive, you feel the calmeness of this island. The same I can say for the studio I stayed in. It feels serene , due to the use of color and choose of furniture. The vieuw from the balcony is the cherry on the cake, and so are the sounds of the waves. Loukas is very hospitable and a very welcoming host. He tells you all you need to know about the island and the beautiful hikes you can make. The copple that cleans around the property is very kind, helpfull and the room is spotless. I will come back for sure!. I realy loved the 3 days I spend on the island of Donoussa and in Makares. Thank you Loukas and staff Kalo Xeimonas!Guest review byJacquelineNetherlands

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 95 reviewsWe had a nice room with balcony overlooking the sea. The location was a bit steep on the hillside, but a transfer from the port was offered. The rooms were cleaned daily and the bed was made. Everything was very clean. Breakfast options and restaurants were nearby.Guest review byMichaelGermany

Beautiful little island, unspoiled original Greece. 110 permanent inhabitants, 350 cats, a donkey, some wild goats and fortunately not too many tourists. No need for a car (there is no petrol station). There is a taxi and minibus service and a fishing boat to get to various beaches. No organized beaches so water, food and a beach umbrella are definitely recommended.Guest review byThanasisGreece - 10.0
An absolute gem of an island, quaint and peaceful.
An absolute gem of an island, quaint and peaceful. If you want to get away from it all and experience a pure island, I would suggest that you visit Donoussa. All of the local people were so friendly and hospitable, I want to return, hopefully in the near future. We stayed at Stenosa, which we would definitely recommend. Beautifully appointed rooms, exquisitely furnished and the most wonderful hosts, who made us feel so welcomed.Guest review byKimUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Donousa is a small island, perfect if you want only relaxing...
Donousa is a small island, perfect if you want only relaxing and not having to drive 40-50 minutes and more to go to a beach. It has 4 main beaches: Stavros (next to the port, but that doesn't mean the water is dirty - on the contrary it's very clear and nice), Kedros (accessible through a 15 minute walk tops), Livadi (accessible by car and then a walk for 20-25 minutes or, better, by a small boat), Fokospilia (where you can go only by boat and dive) and Kalotaritissa (25-30 minutes drive with car, taxi or the local bus if you are lucky and it's working properly). I can't say i enjoyed the food. I found some good options, mostly in the restaurant Iliovasilema. Some told me Agnanti and Ampelaki are also good. I would not recommend strongly any other. Maybe the tavern in Kalotaritissa. I liked that the island has many cats and the locals are taking care of them. As for the nightlife, the place to be is Skantzohiros (it's exactly across the port). You can chat, you can flirt, you can dance. A friend who has been there 3 times told me about the bar at the beach Stavros, but i never saw too many people there. If i had to rate mh experience, i would rate it with 7/10Guest review byΣτέργιοςGreece
