Be careful on the subway, especially when getting off your first stop from the airport. There are muggers targeting tourists. Athens in general is very pretty in the Plaka and tourist areas. It has a good vibe and having dinner while looking at the Acropolis is beautiful. It's amazing to see such old historical sites. For us, we found it very expensive, especially eating out. But overall we had a lovely experience. All the tourist things are easy to walk to. A must to see : Acropolis and Parthenon Changing of the guards at the Tomb of the unknown soldier You must taste : Moussaka, Gyros, SaganakiGuest review byBeverleySouth Africa - 8.0
Nice place to visit, lots to see and do.
Nice place to visit, lots to see and do. Though I would not visit during peak periods. In regards to visiting shops, nearby beaches, touristic attractions etc., there is a large variety. Yet, I would recommend visiting villages around Chania as well. For shops and food, best to dwell towards what the locals normally visit, mostly in the west and south parts, away from the main "tourist hubs". Quality is significantly better and price lower.Guest review byAlexUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Mykonos is a great island that only exist for tourists.
Mykonos is a great island that only exist for tourists. All the workers go home during the winter and the island is desolate. But during the warmer months, it comes alive. It's a bit more expensive than other islands in Greece. The old city is a lot of fun, very small streets with lots of shops.Guest review byRonaldIsrael - 6.0
The town was buzzing and full of life.
The town was buzzing and full of life. Some excellent restaurants (peskesi a stand out) Beaches were stunning especially when blessed with perfect summer weather. BUT, the traffic is terrible, parking is difficult, road-rules are optional and the lane-ways are very narrow. Visiting Knossos is an absolute must.Guest review byGeorgeAustralia - 8.0

Fira is a great town full of varied shops and fantastic places to eat. It can be expensive so plan a little extra money for food though! There are plenty of things to do an see in the town and the public transport to other areas of the island are quite frequent and cheap. There are lots of steep inclines and stairs so keep that in mind, you'll be doing a lot of walking up hillsGuest review byLawson - 10.0
This was a most comfortable stay.
This was a most comfortable stay. The place was very clean and well appointed. And for all you knitters There’s shop across the street.. Easy walk to a bustling Marina Zeas. Great access to a bakery and grocery store. A visit to the Piraeus Archaeological Museum was top of our list. For those wanting to travel and explore the city and into Athens the Metro is only 750metres away. It was all excellent!Guest review byCarolannCanada - 4.0
Our ferry was cancelled due to severe weather.
Our ferry was cancelled due to severe weather. Naxos Chora offer free cancellation up to 3pm on the day of arrival. I notified the hotel before 3pm on the arrival day that we could not arrive on the island & wished to cancel that night. We were told later that a refund was not allowed.Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Amazing Resort and extensive facilities on site.
Amazing Resort and extensive facilities on site. Staff are amazing. Also one of the best mani/pedi I ever had at the salon. Resort is about 30 minutes from airport, and would say for a 5* Europe resort, this lives up to expectation, but don't compare to a 5* Caribbean or Mexico Resort, so bear that in mind. We stayed at the Ocean view room which had spectacular views. The Rocky beach was just fantastic with the lounges and beds, and considering how busy this resort is, never noticed it and never felt overcrowded, and you never had to reserve benches or lounges by the beach or pool, there was more than enough to go round and even more spare. A la Carte restaurants that were amazing and my favourites are Umi (Sushi), Azzuro (Italian), Thalassa for breakfast & lunch, Poseidon. A real let down of the restaurants was Nami, only delicious items were the Starters. Staff at this resort were fantastic overall, but special thanks to the following: Anastasi, Konstantina, Angelina, Ritsa and Lucas.Guest review byBandeleUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Kos is a fascinating town with ancient Roman ruins...
Kos is a fascinating town with ancient Roman ruins everywhere and a great selection of shops and restaurants! Avoid the strip along the beach where it’s quite gritty and scruffy, we got the bus most days to other beaches as we got a bit sick of the busyness of the town. If we return we will stay in Kardamena or Kefalos insteadGuest review byTerryUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The city itself has everything you could ever need and more.
The city itself has everything you could ever need and more. prices are fair and its stunningly beautiful. A city can be beautiful and full of wonderful things to see and do, but its always the people that make your stay. i expected Tourist Fatigue by the time we went in September. But everyone we met was gracious helpful warm and kind.Guest review byColetteUnited Kingdom
