It is very beautiful Pool area is very nice, we went to Cora hotel for our 10 year anniversary and we got upgraded to beautiful room. Stuff was really nice and helpful. The pool area is beautiful, overlooking the sea. We are very happy with out stay and would try to come back It is not for children mostly adults

The most important thing we found at this hotel is true and honest care about their guests. I would like to thank Alina and Despina from Guest Relations Team as true professionals, asking for feedback and acting upon it. Place: quite convenient with own beach, two pools and private spots. Food: credits to the inside restaurant: breakfasts and dinners were fabulous, with variety of food and high quality. Service: slow one at beach restaurant (waited 35 mins for salad) and can be improved at bar (mixing Aperol and Pina in right proportions is not a rocket science 😉). Overall experience: I would definitely return and can recommend this place for vacations or weekend escape.

The hotel is new and is a great accommodation! it is very well thought, quiet, we had a great view, the pool is very nice and you just cross the street barefoot and are in the sea…a coffee machine is in the room, coffee capsules are served daily and are included. we had a great time and would love to come back! the owner and the staff are super friendly and helpful. paddle boards are given free for using. everything was just the wasy it should be. right near the hotel are two good restaurants, we didn’t miss a restaurant at the location. thanks a lot Alexandros! We had a wonderful stay at Plagia Relax in the last week of July. The room was as in the picture. Surprising had a huge mirror and a very big tv. The beds were comfortable. The room is cleaned every day unless you opt out. Bathroom looking great with water and everything working well. Kettle, toaster, fridge was great for breakfasts and occasional other light meals. There is a washing machine available you can use at no extra cost. But the best of all is the staff in the hotel - I think they actually checked us in before 3 pm, answered all my questions which I asked before coming and once there, gave us info on the places to eat etc. There is a building between the hotel and the beach but it still felt like we were by the sea and you can see the from the balcony anyhow. Relax had a beach area dedicated to the hotel and the girls are always there to take your orders for drinks. There is a great choice of taverns right there with delicious food for lunches and dinners. The area alone the beach is buzzing in the evening - so there is entertainment of various kinds. There were also inflatables for water fun and what appeared on the weekend to be a nightclub type of places just under 10 minutes walk from the hotel. We absolutely loved Nea Plagia and Relax with its location and facilities. We will be very happy to come again, definitely recommend and wishing you more grateful customers! Thank you, Relax, for contributing to our wonderful experience in Halkidiki! Xx

Mainland Greece at its Best

A 3-pronged peninsula to the south-east of Thessaloniki, Halkidiki is best known for its rolling scenery, beautiful beaches and good watersports.

The westernmost prong is the lively Kassandra peninsula. Sani on its west coast is backed by a pine forest and has beautiful sunsets. On the opposite side, Pefkohori’s fantastic beach and calm, shallow waters make it a popular choice for families. Polichrono and Kalithea to the north have a good selection of Halkidiki hotels on the beach, while Afitos has a picturesque Old Town with cobbled streets.

On the quieter Sithonia peninsula, Metamorfosi is a small village with a Blue Flag beach, while Neos Marmaras has a pretty harbour offering boat trips. On the eastern side Vourvourou is very popular and has lovely views of the offshore islands.

An island just off the Mount Athos peninsula is Amolianí which has rocky coastline and wonderful beaches. Across the water is Ouranoupoli whose small fishing harbour is guarded by a 14th-century tower. On the main part of the Halkidiki region, Stavros and Olympiada both sweep around picturesque bays dominated by the lush Cholomontas mountains.

    Sani Beach is an amazing hotel for families, they have everything to make your holiday most enjoyable. Sandy beaches that star shallow for a long time, kids pool in the shade of the trees, bicycle rental, indoor pool and free sunset cruises. We had a great time and would highly recommend Sani Beach to any family, and the Sani resort to anyone else. It is a very family focusses hotel where the buffet opens at 6pm and other restaurant offer 3-course set menus for kids. The staff were very friendly and everyone was very fluent in English. The food was top notch and the vast space around the hotel gives you plenty of options to choose your favourite pool, beach or hike.

    We go to Greece several times every year, but these were our best 3 days spent there. The place is beautiful, clean, safe, peaceful, intimate, like a piece of paradise. The complex has its own garden, places for games and socializing. The beach is so beautiful and just across the street. The sea has the most beautiful shades of blue. The beach is the Greek Caribbean.The first contact is with the manager of the complex- Yiannis who gains with his hospitality, professionalism and dedication. He shared all the facilities of the complex and he was available anytime for everything.

    Nikiti is an ideal town for families with children, especially those aged 1–12. Everything is within walking distance. The beach and sea are perfect for kids, and the restaurants are family-friendly. There are also toy machines for children to play with. However, it might be a bit boring for young couples without kids, as there aren’t many entertainment options such as night clubs or disco bars.

    The place is suitable if you are visiting Greece on budget. It is very crowded and it s a nightmare to find a parking spot. We visited few traditional tavernas( Ouzeri Las Pas,Villa Ella ( has live music) and had very tasty greek dishes :tzatziki , Greek salad, fried zuchini, fried white bait, aubergine salad, grilled sardines, stuffed peppers, chicken souvlaki. The prices are reasonable.

    A wonderful place right on the shore of the azure Aegean Sea! Our host Ivan was exceptional – always ready to help with advice or organize a restaurant reservation, yet discreet and unobtrusive enough to make us feel completely independent, just like at home. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a fruit basket – a kind gesture from the host. The cleanliness and order of the place immediately stood out. It is truly an oasis of peace and enjoyment by the sea. The water is crystal clear, and the beach is beautiful, lively, and full of different attractions. Evenings in Kallithea offer a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and clubs where you can have a wonderful time. Thanks to this place and our host Ivan, we had a truly amazing and unforgettable holiday!

    After spending 10 days I am sure about I will never go back...

    After spending 10 days I am sure about I will never go back to Neos Marmaras. Very noisy and crowded beaches, a lot of people during the night shopping. We went to Platanitsi Wild Beach on daily basis (50km from Neos Marmaras) to avoid this nightmare.

    We loved everything about Polychrono.

    We loved everything about Polychrono. We stayed 3 days total and only wish it had been longer to enjoy our villa more! Waking up every morning and seeing the beautiful lemon, olive and pomegranate trees felt like a dream.

    Afytos is by far the most beautiful place in this part of Greece. Unlike other nearby towns, it carries a unique history and a special vibe that you simply don’t find elsewhere.     Sarti is definetly forever in my heart, it is a city where our family returns inconditionally every year. The place is amazing, beaches are wonderful, landscapes are amazing. Too bad that year by year it became too crowded

    Decent place to swim and sunbathe, although among the dirtiest I've seen in Greece. The dirt in the sand is never collected, and people vacationing here are not among the most educated, considering the very low prices. It's weird that not even private beach owners (renters?) bother to clean up the sand at their location. The city is always full of cars, and more seem to be coming every minute. I have never seen so many people driving around such a small place in so many cars. The good news is that all the streets are one way, although you'll see a lot of cars going the wrong way, so be careful, especially at the intersections. Also, there is no genuine Greek taverns in the area, only fast food restaurants. This is literally a food industry, with all restaurants craming tables one on top of another to seat as many customers as possible for the shortest amount of time possible. You can eat good food if you follow Google Maps ratings, but don't expect an authentic experience. It's just business. On the plus side, the restaurants are among the cheapest in Greece, which might explain the kind of people vacationing here and their habits (throwing garbage right next to them, never considering the bins nearby).

    Nice beaches nearby (we explore them by Paddle board but there are also 600 boats to rent for a day trip). The city beach is not blue water and seems more like a lake, but there are many other possibilities at the place.
