FAQs about hotels in Halkidiki
Mainland Greece at its Best
A 3-pronged peninsula to the south-east of Thessaloniki, Halkidiki is best known for its rolling scenery, beautiful beaches and good watersports.
The westernmost prong is the lively Kassandra peninsula. Sani on its west coast is backed by a pine forest and has beautiful sunsets. On the opposite side, Pefkohori’s fantastic beach and calm, shallow waters make it a popular choice for families. Polichrono and Kalithea to the north have a good selection of Halkidiki hotels on the beach, while Afitos has a picturesque Old Town with cobbled streets.
On the quieter Sithonia peninsula, Metamorfosi is a small village with a Blue Flag beach, while Neos Marmaras has a pretty harbour offering boat trips. On the eastern side Vourvourou is very popular and has lovely views of the offshore islands.
An island just off the Mount Athos peninsula is Amolianí which has rocky coastline and wonderful beaches. Across the water is Ouranoupoli whose small fishing harbour is guarded by a 14th-century tower. On the main part of the Halkidiki region, Stavros and Olympiada both sweep around picturesque bays dominated by the lush Cholomontas mountains.

- From US$628.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 445 reviewsWe were so positively amazed from the very entering into the hotel. We were welcomed by the person responsible for the parking and then an electric car came to take us to the reseption and then to the room with the whole luggage we had. The room was very clean and it was having all we needed, since we are a family with a 1 year old baby. The restorant was absolutely great. It was offering buffet with such a various food, it was difficult to choose from so delicious meals. The best part was that they have Kids corner with very healthy food, so we were not worried for our little one. The pool and the beach were very beautiful, clean and it was a pleasure for us to be there. All the staff was very polite and always with a smile. They even have animation team for the kids and the adults as well. I am thankful to the trainer Veronika, who was doing pilates and streching classes that made me feel recharged. I am so happy we visited this place and I would love to go back there again. The best choice for families with kids.Guest review byBorisovaBulgaria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 161 reviewsSplendid location directly to a sandy, quiet beach with free towels and private umbrellas and sunbeds for +6 people. Spacious outdoor private space and very tidy common garden. Fully equipped kitchen with large refrigerator and dishwasher. 3 sufficient bedrooms all nicely decorated, independent and air-conditioned. 2 bathrooms and washing machine. Parking space right next to the door. This place combines several unique features that you wished you could find in a holiday residence, so this is conpensating for the relatively high price. It is sincerely better than it looks in the pictures.Guest review byNikolaosGreece

Nikiti is an ideal town for families with children, especially those aged 1–12. Everything is within walking distance. The beach and sea are perfect for kids, and the restaurants are family-friendly. There are also toy machines for children to play with. However, it might be a bit boring for young couples without kids, as there aren’t many entertainment options such as night clubs or disco bars.Guest review byMURATTurkey - 6.0
The place is suitable if you are visiting Greece on budget.
The place is suitable if you are visiting Greece on budget. It is very crowded and it s a nightmare to find a parking spot. We visited few traditional tavernas( Ouzeri Las Pas,Villa Ella ( has live music) and had very tasty greek dishes :tzatziki , Greek salad, fried zuchini, fried white bait, aubergine salad, grilled sardines, stuffed peppers, chicken souvlaki. The prices are reasonable.Guest review byCosminUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

A wonderful place right on the shore of the azure Aegean Sea! Our host Ivan was exceptional – always ready to help with advice or organize a restaurant reservation, yet discreet and unobtrusive enough to make us feel completely independent, just like at home. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a fruit basket – a kind gesture from the host. The cleanliness and order of the place immediately stood out. It is truly an oasis of peace and enjoyment by the sea. The water is crystal clear, and the beach is beautiful, lively, and full of different attractions. Evenings in Kallithea offer a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and clubs where you can have a wonderful time. Thanks to this place and our host Ivan, we had a truly amazing and unforgettable holiday!Guest review byEmilSwitzerland - 4.0

After spending 10 days I am sure about I will never go back to Neos Marmaras. Very noisy and crowded beaches, a lot of people during the night shopping. We went to Platanitsi Wild Beach on daily basis (50km from Neos Marmaras) to avoid this nightmare.Guest review byMateHungary - 8.0

In September, there were mostly older people. Beaches are a bit boring compared to Sithonia's beaches, but still, the water is perfect everywhere. Many beach bars, little shops. The only thing I missed was a bit of wild nature. I found the whole of Kassandra is very built out, while Sithonia is just perfectly wild as I like it.Guest review byNebojsaSerbia - 10.0

Afytos is by far the most beautiful place in this part of Greece. Unlike other nearby towns, it carries a unique history and a special vibe that you simply don’t find elsewhere. The distinctive architecture, with its charming mix of stone and wood, gives the village character, while the narrow streets create an authentic atmosphere that feels timeless. Walking through Afytos is like stepping into another world, one that is rich, welcoming, and truly unforgettable.Guest review byMakedonkaNorth Macedonia - 10.0

Nice beaches nearby (we explore them by Paddle board but there are also 600 boats to rent for a day trip). The city beach is not blue water and seems more like a lake, but there are many other possibilities at the place.Guest review byRumenBulgaria - 6.0

Decent place to swim and sunbathe, although among the dirtiest I've seen in Greece. The dirt in the sand is never collected, and people vacationing here are not among the most educated, considering the very low prices. It's weird that not even private beach owners (renters?) bother to clean up the sand at their location. The city is always full of cars, and more seem to be coming every minute. I have never seen so many people driving around such a small place in so many cars. The good news is that all the streets are one way, although you'll see a lot of cars going the wrong way, so be careful, especially at the intersections. Also, there is no genuine Greek taverns in the area, only fast food restaurants. This is literally a food industry, with all restaurants craming tables one on top of another to seat as many customers as possible for the shortest amount of time possible. You can eat good food if you follow Google Maps ratings, but don't expect an authentic experience. It's just business. On the plus side, the restaurants are among the cheapest in Greece, which might explain the kind of people vacationing here and their habits (throwing garbage right next to them, never considering the bins nearby).Guest review byCristianRomania
