Everything was even better than expected. The service was 5 stars! We were granted the posibility to check out late as we had a ferry in the evening. The room was comfortable and nicely decored and the location is priceless, specially to visit Kolitsani beach. Probably the best option you can find to stay in Ios!

Really peaceful, friendly family-run hotel. Excellent pool facilities and the rooms were spacious with modern bathrooms, strong A/C and beautiful views from the balcony. The owner and his son were helpful and had some great recommendations about where to eat and what to visit, and the transfer to/from the port was very stress-free and easy! Even in an area with a lot going on, this hotel is the perfect place to relax. Would absolutely stay here again if we come back, and would recommend it to anyone thinking of going. Thanks for making our experience so lovely!

The service was amazing, the staff were so helpful and they even upgraded us for free to a room with a private pool! The breakfast included is also great value and has a large range of food. There is a bus stop right outside to take you into Chora town and the port so it’s really easy to get around. They also include umbrellas and sun beds on the beach which are perfect for lounging! Other areas on the beach charge for these services.

    Had an amazing time at Avanti - wish we stayed longer than two nights! The rooms were clean/tidy and serviced daily, beautiful pool area (towels provided) with great music, bar and snacks available. Breakfast was simple but delicious (recommend the omelette and freddo coffee). The property is really well maintained and cared for. It’s a more relaxing vibe which is exactly what we were after. It’s around a 6 minute walk to the centre of town and is located on a slight hill but it’s really not that steep and is an easy walk up/down. Katerina and her family were so welcoming and hospitable at all times. I’d recommend Avanti to anyone coming to Ios and hope to come back one day. Thanks for an amazing stay 🙂

    It is a very beautiful, mindful place, like if we were living in a gigantic art installation and being part of it. The entrance is unique and astonishing, the beach is beautiful with pristine waters and only few guests ( most of the suits have private pool). Very tasty design, well shaped into the surrounding beautiful mountains. Our suite was a magical place, enormous areas, big windows, great private swimming pool, full of design but user friendly and full of all required commodities. Really top of the top.

    What’s not to like? From the get go Dimitris, his family and all the other staff make you feel right at home. (They also have the best restaurant recommendations.) After leaving I immediately wanted to come back and that’s not something that happens very often. Location is great, close to the port, the beach and the bus stop (a bus every 15 minutes to town and to the bigger beach). Also a shoutout to the cleaning lady who stopped us from getting on the wrong bus!

    Location was fantastic - close proximity to everything, just a short walk down steps to get to the main street. The cleaning ladies were lovely - gave us extra towels when needed and always greeted us. There was a balcony, clothes line and mini fridge. Perfect place if you're there for a few nights and don't intend on staying in heaps. The balcony was also beautiful, the sun came into the room each morning and lit everything up. Gorgeous views.

    Very friendly owner who picked us up and returned us to the port Lovely hotel in traditional Greek style our room overlooking the sea. We didn't use it but the pool looked very nice You can catch the local bus stop is just up the road to the Capital or to the Port for a night out. Myself and my wife couldn't complain one bit and such lovely Greek family who own this Hotel would well recommend.

    Location is next level! 2 saltwater pools with one being on the 6th floor with nothing obstructing your view of this bay. Best sunbeds I have ever tried, and all with zero cost to hotel guest. Staff are incredibly nice, polite and helpful, we felt very much accommodated from the very minute we set foot through the door. Front desk spend the 10 minutes giving us the full tour of the hotel.

    The location was very close to the beach, port, and bus terminal. Easy to get to and from the main town. Close to beach bars and mini marts in case anything is needed. The staff was very friendly and answered every question we had. They even brought us to and from the port. The view was really nice and the ambiance was very relaxing.

    The island is the preferred destination for 1st year...

    The island is the preferred destination for 1st year students, mainly from Ireland, from what we could tell. Not really our croud. It was a bit cheaper here for drinks and food than it was on Santorini or Mykonos, but I probably won't go back. There is not much to do on the island, and the wind was next level. We were supposed to stay here for 2 nights initially, but I am happy that we reduced it to 1 night. We visited a goat cheese farm, which was nice, but after that, we did not want to do anything in the wind, plus, there was not much else to do. The old town was very pretty, with cobble streets and little shops, but not as lively as Mykonos or Santorini at night. It felt like a Sunday. Lovely little island.

    This is an unspoiled island - love that there is no airport of cruise ships coming and flooding this island with tourists. There is just enough of a crowd to keep it lively without being crowded. The beach is well located and the bus service is extremely efficient to get you around. The beach is beautiful and clean.

    Excellent beach but the businesses that run the beach facilities (sunbeds and restaurants) must improve a lot. Despite very friendly personnel, the prices are very high compared to ther poor services and offered food quality.

    We loved the beach location very quite only thing was there was no transport to go into town as only 2 buses all day we left a day early as we wanted to enjoy the town of chora for 1 night the only place open for food was the beach hotel and they closed at 9pm and opened after 10 am for breakfast but the owners was lovely

    There is no supermarket in this area. There is a tavern restaurant and a beach hut where you can buy drinks and snacks on the beach. it is located very far from the main town, the journey is long. The area is secluded, there is a not a lot of other properties around, but there is a few so you don't feel completely alone. The beach is stunning and the mountain views are spectacular. The beach attracts a small amount of people so it's not too busy. The water is very clean and the sand is nice.

    We really liked Ios, a great place to stay.

    We really liked Ios, a great place to stay. At night it was peaceful and quiet but lively during the day and evening. We went into Chora most nights and that was wonderful, lots of bars and restaurants. Also a great bakery on the main road a must if you visit. Our hotel was Brothers Hotel, a lovely place to stay with very welcoming hosts, spotlessly clean rooms and very helpful. Thank you

    Lots of restaurants, Italian, Greek, Sushi to suit all budgets and a good bakery. Good mini markets. Great helpful staff everywhere you go. Good bike hire place who very helpful, its a must roads are quiet and easy to navigate. Great beach, clean plenty to do. Very clean and safe. Breath taking views you could admire all day. Brilliant cheap bus service to take you to port, or the main town only 2 euros.

    I liked that it is not an over-built, over-commercialized...

    I liked that it is not an over-built, over-commercialized island like its famous neighbour Santorini. We rented a car one day and saw Homer‘s supposed resting place and a Byzantine castle, a wonderful goat farm with tours and great choices of cheeses run by very eloquent and multilingual owners, a large number of bigger and smaller beaches on all sides of Ios and even ran into a goat herd and visited one of several monasteries. Ios town is cute and very walkable with a lively vibe and we witnessed a folklore dance performance by various groups of dancers from other islands, adults and children, on the main square. 3-4 full days might be the right length, but we had 5 and used one for a day trip to Santorini. I prefer Ios despite the other islands‘ amazing promenades and oozing luxury feel.

    Beautiful beach with plenty of sunbeds, bars, restaurants...

    Beautiful beach with plenty of sunbeds, bars, restaurants and mini markets. We can thoroughly recommend Drakos restaurant for lunch. Fresh fish and excellent food. It is at the very end of the beach. The town has a very good and regular bus service too for 2 euros one way.
