What can I say? Perentzada is the jewel of Vathy. By the time we came back from breakfast the rooms were cleaned. Breakfast was all homemade with a wide selection and absolutely delicious. Antonis was on top of everything and constantly attending to the guests needs and always available. The lovely Katerina always at breakfast showing us such hospitality we have not known elsewhere. She is priceless. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a stay in Ithaca. Nothing negative to say. Congratulations to all!

We liked everything, it was perfect! There was water and juice in the fridge and even some vegan products. My boyfriend was so happy with that! We had the room with balcony this year (great view), last year we had the one downstairs (was a bit bigger with separate bedroom) but both were very good. Service was excellent, the room was cleaned every day. Thanks for everything!

    Great position with fabulous views. Easy walking distance of beautiful coves and beaches, and the lively town of Vathy. Mostly level walking with some hills to more distant beaches. Lovely walking area. Stunning scenery. Quiet and peaceful. Villa Marika is a lovely, comfortable villa with a traditional and homely feel. It is well-equipped and ideal for a holiday with family or friends. It is situated in an ideal position, slightly elevated above sea level with far reaching sea, harbour and Mountain views. Lovely terraces on which to sit and enjoy watching the world go by. We have stayed here several times and intend to return several times!

    Having been twice it now feels like a home from home! A wonderful location and the most amazing view from the large front terrace. At the rear its a sun trap, perfect for lazing on the sunbeds and dipping in the lovely pool… It has everything you need, extremely comfortable, clean and cosy!     Rooms were lovely. Spacious. Spotlessly clean. They had thought of everything. Fan if too hot (although also air conditioning), blanket in cupboard for the cooler evenings, hair dryer, bottle of complimentary water in fridge. Etc etc etc. Great location for restaurants and beaches. Wonderful view. Stefanos was very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English.

    The apartments overlook the peaceful bay of Dexa within 20 minutes walking distance of Vathi. We had a lovely stay in a studio apartment which is very well thought out for self catering. Evi was very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

    Amazing view! We really enjoyed our stay! The house was very clear and beautifully decorated. You’ll need a car to drive everywhere, but Stavros is only 5 mins drive away and some very nice beaches are very close too.

    We loved our stay in Vathy, a beautiful coastal town with lots of restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. Lots of places to see. The town of Kioni seems to be the pick of the towns, right up high on the north part of the island. Would love to visit again. I would recommend a car hire because the bus services are practically non-existent. Talking to the locals who described at as this: There is a bus timetable, but even that has become unreliable, so even the bus drivers have to figure out themselves which day they will run and what time.

    Quite location around waterfront, that is closed to cars. Lovely little coves to swim in. Very poor bus service so car or taxi required to get around. Taxi fare from Vathy very reasonable at 45 euros.

    Great location, away from congested major towns, fabulous swimming at Polis beach. Great sight seeing walks to the ruins of the Palace of Odysseus. Numerous tavernas at Stavros and the port of Frikes, either on foot or by car. Very relaxing place to stay.

    This was a most excellent destination.

    This was a most excellent destination. Bakery on hand as was a mini market. Lovely beach nearby with free shade. Quaint tiny harbour to walk around in the evening. Bonus of a waterfront Dodoni cafe on the waterfront

    We really loved our trip to Ithaca. Such a pretty Island. Only tiny but you need a car to visit everywhere. Kioni was really beautiful with nice restaurants. More to chose from in Vathi and if you like walking you can walk to two beaches from there .

    Kioni is pittoresque and romantic. Nice restaurants and bars ! Lovely port for yachts. Avra and Mythos were our favourite restaurants. The 2 beaches at the end of Kioni are just so beautiful, one with a small taverna.

    Lovely local village.

    Lovely local village. Very friendly people and some great tavernas to choose from. Margarita's is the best cafe! There is also a small museum. Easy drive from here to local beaches. Also 10/15 min drive to Frikes and Kioni.

    Frikes is an incredible little harbour - very friendly, great tavernas, beautiful beaches and a wonderful pier to jump off! We were one if few that didn't come on a yacht but we enjoyed it all the same! I'd return here in a heartbeat!!

    Gorgeous little town, with just incredible views. We were there in October, ans despite two days of dull, slightly rainy weather, we found it very charming. Lots of little shops to explore - though some were very expensive, to be honest. We had some great food here - the small restaurant on the seafront, La Familia - was our highlight. Really delicious traditional food. So good I'm going to have to try some of the recipes at home. The boat tours had finished for the winter, but it was still possible to hire a boat, or even a boat with a skipper. Vathi is easy to walk around, it's small and compact, and feels very friendly. I can't say that it would be wheelchair friendly, as a lot of the footpaths have cafe tables and chairs etc.

    Frikes is a lovely place, but as we were getting towards the end of the season, and what with all the restrictions caused by Covid, 2 or 3 nights could have been better, with a 2 or 3 night hop at the other end of the island perhaps? Luckily, Aristotelis Apartments were so nice, it didn't matter, and we loved every minute of our stay. There are 3 nice, very small pebbly coves/beaches between Frikes and Kuoni. The water was so crystal clear you can see the bottom for quite a depth. Snorkelling was real fun. Lots of different fish. The little beaches each had a long stone built bench you could sit on. some of the bench would be partly shaded by trees. These beaches weren't serviced with showers, toilets or bars. But beautiful, with lovel views all the way to Lefkada and beyond.
