United KingdomWe did very well to book ARCHONTIKO HOTEL in Kalymnos. It is not just accommodation – it feels like a living piece of history in the heart of Kalymnos. The place radiates authentic traditional hospitality, set within unique architecture, reminiscent of the old mansions.
Our stay was extremely pleasant. The location is ideal, right in the center of the harbourfront, with everything just a few steps away. We didn’t need a car to get around. Close to the hotel there is a public bus stop providing easy and affordable transportation across the island. The hotel is very close to the ferry dock too and within walking distance of two beautiful beaches. Our room had a spectacular view of the harbour and the sea (highly recommend to pre-book).
Our room wss spotlessly clean, comfortable, and fully functional – all newly renovated just two months ago. Excellent bathroom, fully equipped with amenities. The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations: rich, traditional, and healthy making the start of each day truly delightful.
The host was outstanding: friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. He gladly shares the history of the hotel and offered a brief tour of its heritage through old photographs, making you feel connected to this unique place.
Communication with the property, from the moment of booking until check-out, was flawless and immediate. The photos shown online are accurate – the hotel may actually look even more beautiful in person.
We truly felt lucky to have visited the island of Kalymnos and to have stayed at this one-of-a-kind hotel. The island itself is very affordable, and the people are genuinely authentic – something you don’t come across easily nowadays. We will definitely return again, as ARCHONTIKO HOTEL KALYMNOS is apparently open all year round!

The design and furnishings of the room and property were lovely, the services were impeccable from the help we received at the front desk, to the service at breakfast and around the pool. The location of the hotel is 10-15 minutes walk to downtown, but for climbing, the access to the primary crags in the area are directly behind the hotel which is very convenient. We loved our room that faced Telendos; the porch area was large and the sunsets were beautiful. There is also a clothes line on the porch which is convenient. Highly recommend

As an American who has lived and traveled in the Dodecanese and the broader Aegean over the past several years, I can say with great certainty (and great surprise) that Evanik provides one of the best luxury hotel experiences in all of Greece, let alone in Kalymnos. Yes, the amenities I experienced were absolutely phenomenal — a private jacuzzi room that had its own separate bed; separate walk-in shower and toilet rooms; an all-inclusive breakfast with hard-to-find preserves (kiwi jam??), homemade halva, complementary prosecco, and eggs prepared four ways... But the real prize here is the immensely caring staff. At 11pm on my second night, I began to exhibit symptoms of a severe infection. Without hesitation, the staff sprung into action to return me to my health. Theo, my hero at the front desk, called the only pharmacy open on the island at that time, acquired my medications, and personally delivered them to my door within minutes. Another sweetheart, Alex, assured me that I could relax and that there was no point spending the night in the hospital. Thanks to Theo, he was right. A special shout-out also to housekeeper Georgia, who went above and beyond to make my stay exceptionally comfortable. You might not expect such elite service from a hotel on one of the more local, charming, family-oriented islands in the Dodecanese... and that's exactly why I am so fond of Evanik: it has the comforts of a resort hotel, minus the obnoxious tourists who tend to go to these types of places. I have to add that as an Asian woman, I experienced none of the tacit racism I usually do at so-called "5-star" establishments elsewhere in Greece. Due to inconsequential technicalities regarding room size, Evanik is not officially listed as “5-star” — but let me assure you, this hotel exceeds the quality and service you would get at five-star accommodations in the usual places. Very nice facility, located in an enchanting place, with everything you need for a pleasant stay in Kalymnos. You will be able to enjoy a wonderful view from the terrace, take advantage of the presence of a supermarket right next to the property, and walk 5 to 10 mins to reach the main restaurants and other amenities in Masouri. The staff is simply superlative.

The host was one of the most welcoming person I have ever met. Even arriving earlier than expected, she offered me a nice Greek coffee with cheese toast. The view from the room is amazing, and the village itself is really nice. This is the perfect place if you want to relax and take some time for yourself.

Very friendly and courteous host and staff. Could not hope for a better location right on beach with all required facilities eg tavernas etc excellent and generous breakfast included. While there, we saw they were awarded national recognition for being one of the 10 best boutique hotels in Greece.

Lovely chilled and laid back island. Great activities, we were there for a family holiday but the amazing climbing was pretty central and the diving (Kalymnos Diving Club) was great too. Beaches not busy and plenty of then (if small) all around the island. Very good value and food always of a good standard. We rented a car, the island is easy to get around and nowhere is very far

Great view and location. Breakfast good and pool snack bar excellent. Their Caesars Salad was outstanding. Room bathroom had the door basically hung on the wrong side. Anyone overweight would struggle to get in. Hotel has no restaurant or bar. Nowhere to get a coffee when the pool bar closed at 6PM. No kettle in room either. Staff were great.

Panormos is much quieter than Myrties and it has a big supermarket and a fuel station. But you need some sort of wheels to get to places as buses aren’t as frequent. We had a scooter and that worked for us well. As climbers we travelled everyday to different walls. Panormos offered the cheapest accommodation with facilities.

i ll write some comments for the whole island not only myrties. myrties is the main tourist spot on the island. lots of restaurants (we ate twice at la kambusa italian restaurant and the food was really good. try the pasta-excellent). there is a small harbor and within 3 minutes a boat can take you to island telendos (really cheap 3 euros going-2 coming back). we fell in love with emporeios village at the northern part of the island. quite beaches only you and ... goats from local farmers, nice restaurants (ate both at kyma & dreamcatcher). paid no more than 20euros per person. other beaches we enjoyed was platys gyalos semi organised but cheap for beverages-coffee. dont miss the daily trip to pserimos, fantastic beach plus every 3 hours or so tourist ships/pirate ships arrive with loads of tourists. for a while. then again .... peace. visit kalymnos you ll be amazed. explore greece beyond the obvious.

Panormos is a good place to stay when you visit Kalymnos island because of its location (close to the port, Kalymnos capital, museums, sightseeing and to beaches and restaurants on the other hand). The problem with all of the island is that there are nowhere sidewalks and streets are so narrow that if two cars meet one of them should back off , because there is not enough space for both of them (!!!!) and pedestrians are in a real danger .

Emporios is great if you like beautiful and quiet places. It is literally at the end of the road in Kalymnos so very little car or scooter traffic. Lots of restaurants to choose from, a mini mart, a small farm for fresh ingredients and a beautiful beach.
