Definitely one of the best facilities in Elounda and all of Crete. Starting with the service, which proves at every step that you are in a 5-star hotel, and ending with the surroundings of the facility, which are extremely refined and tastefully decorated. The service is very competent, nice and helpful. A big advantage is the varied but also regional breakfasts. Each room is equipped with either a jacuzzi or a private pool. There is also a restaurant with a tasting menu and a gym with an extraordinary view of the bay. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. Special thanks to the entire hotel staff.

We had a wonderful stay, the resort is not only great but its' staff are amazing!! Thanks to the F&b team, especially Niko (he is unique and the best person we met during our stay), Dany, Emanuela and also the GM (Marius). They were always very helpful and smiling all day. Enjoyed our time there in spite of very high temperatures that didn`t allow for comfortable sleep , with or without aircon being used. Hotel close to beach and restaurants and shops .Parking is 100 metres away and is free. Breakfast was great and substantial and the staff cheerful . We have been before and will go again .

    We had the pleasure of staying at Minos Beach Art Hotel for a relaxing weekend, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into paradise. The hotel itself is beautifully spread across a large area, offering various accommodation options. Based on the glowing reviews, we opted for a bungalow right on the water, and it was the best decision we made. The bungalow was recently renovated, featuring elegant, modern decor and all the comforts we could ask for. The veranda right by the water provided breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere – truly a dream spot to unwind and connect with nature. Walking around the hotel, we enjoyed exploring the lush flora and the impressive art installations that added a unique cultural touch to the entire experience. We also had the pleasure of dining at La Bouillabaisse Restaurant during one of their special Invited Chefs & Friends event. The food was beyond incredible – every dish was a masterpiece, and the service was impeccable. A perfect 10/10 in every way. Thank you to the wonderful team at Minos Beach Art Hotel and the General Manager for his special attention. We can't wait to return!

    The room was very spacious and it's great that you can separate the kids area from the main bed. The food was excellent all around. Lots of choices in the buffet restaurant and great for kids too. Never had any food-related issues so food safety seemed high as well. It was a perfect hotel for small kids. My 3½ year old son loved it. Everything is close together which is very convenient. The water slides in the kids pool are amazing. The beach is rocky in some parts and sandy in others. There is a great sand playground right at the beach. The entrance to the sea is quite flat, which makes it easy for the kids to enter. There are lots of activities to join. My son especially loved the mini disco, the bouncy castle and the face painting. We never had a problem finding a sunbed at the pool or the beach. I can fully recommend this place to familys with kids under 7 and will most likely come back next year.

    We loved Candia Park Village!! It was a perfect mix of luxury but also being child friendly (we were there as part of a group of 10 - 6 children aged 4 to 14). The dining options were great but also a 10min taxi ride into Agios Nikolas if you wanted to venture there. Pool was great and big. The 2 beaches were gorgeous with some fun watersports at the sandy beach. The buffet breakfast was extensive.

Very good hotel, ok facilities given the out of season period, but the highlight of it all is definitely the staff, who without being cheesy, are very polite, effective, hands on and there to help! Even in eventful situations! We have really enjoyed our stay!

    Pleasant and pretty town centre with lovely shops and restaurants with helpful staff everywhere. Awesome beaches, loved the Kimzu beach club and the cute cafe with amazing views next to Votsalo beach. No need to hire a car (we wasted our money) nowhere is lovelier in Crete.

    It was very pretty and friendly, not too busy although I imagine it would be earlier in season. We visited end Aug into Sept. Lots of choice of restaurants and bars. Can get the bus to surrounding towns and villages or boat trips round the coast. Close to the island of Spinalonga which is interesting to visit.

    The only problem i face every time i visit is that there's no direct flight from Cyprus to Sitia, which makes the trip quite difficult. I have to make two stops, and the bus connection is challenging, with a winding road and a tiring journey of 3 to 3 1/2 hours, witch i will really consider to go again just for that. Because i leave my house early in the morning and i arrive very late at night time to Sitia. AND THAT IS VERY TIRING!

    The perfect place for peaceful vacation. The city itself is nice but not something extraordinary, but you get the best food in Greece alongside the best beaches in the World! Try Psarropoula, Kakkos and all other beaches in Ferma area. Make beautiful trips to Chryssi Island or Agios Nikolaos (30min), Siteia (45min), Vai, Oropedio Lasithiou etc.

    Tiny village with a great atmosphere. We attended to a traditional event, with cretese music and dances, and in the area you can find very interesting historical sites. The beaches are very close and nice (the coast is facing east, so there are no waves in case the strong wind is blowing). Our favourite beaches have been Kouremenos for windsurfing and Itanos/Paralia for swimming. The best restaurants we tried are Mythos in the village centre and Elia in the close village of Agathias that you can reach on foot in ten minutes. Pharmacy, restaurants, shops, markets. Here you can find all you need for a perfect stay!

    Mirtos is a small, very friendly village. Great tavernas and bars. Several local shops for necessities. Lovely beach but sea can be a bit rough at times. A trip up to the villages in the mountains is a must. Have travelled around crete for 30 years but the past 7, been coming here. Mirtos has stolen our hearts !!

    Sissi has a lovely harbour location surrounded by a selection of tavernas - Amelia Taverna was excellent for quality and value for money - staff were lovely. The bakery was also excellent. There are several beaches nearby but signposting is poor.

    Big sandy beaches. Good tavernas, we liked MeRaki. Istron is a "strip" of a village running along a main road. There are apartments and hotels up the hillside from the road, with not too much road noise. When rough you can hear the sea from your apartment. Apart from the beaches and eating places there is probably not too much else to do.

Unfortunately once we arrived instant regret set in. Check in was poor, no 5 * welcome. Reception wanted to charge taxes I had already paid. Long wait to get to the room due to just 1 driver. Room was nice apart from the mud pond and dead plants inside the front door. Everything went down hill. Disposable cups, lack of staff, dangerous resort under demolition. Broken wood deck and walls, food was 1* if there was any available. Derelict boarded up Resturantes and swim up bar empty shelves. Just terrible. A punch bag machine and table football from the 80’s in a 5* resort is never a good look. There was a general negative vibe throughout the resort and the guests did not seem to be enjoying their stay. The road kill food at the beach side Resturante was disgusting, dust and mould in the air vents above food stations. Unclean Restaurants, rude staff and a tatty old worn out resort. We felt isolated and trapped in the resort due to the remote location so we checked out 2 days early and moved to a new hotel in an effort to revive our trip. Minos imperial over charge and under deliver 1* I would avoid this resort until they make some changes.
