- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 124 reviewsgreat place to come back ) was a pleasure to feel homestaying again and to be waited for) normally the hotel is full of friendly polite guests / anyway accommodation is so private and you don’t feel crowded/ who stay 3/5 days or a week and it’s definitely worth it . even 5 days are not enough to explore the island , but to understand and to be understood. extremely polite and open minded locals, they take good care about the island , villages and guests Brothers provide all you need for exploring and comfortable staying.. fresh sea air, every apartment has good qualified natural wooden furnishing, new fresh bedclothes and warm blankets.. it’s important .. Cars are clean, fuelled and easy to connect your phone music , nobody organise it better than Vasilis 😄 )) must visit beach Avlaki is a bit far, but exciting road is unforgettable. easy to get the crater then and come back to mandraki by another road from the crater ~ breathtaking views!!! words are not enough to describe how cool hiking, there are many options of marked paths which brings you wherever you want , they all a safe because locals clean from rolling stones the crater has a special power , I would recommend to stay there for a while - to drink coffee in a cool cozy bar surrounded by old serene eucalyptuses, to observe attentively , to enjoy the colors shapes changes ..) p.s. extraordinarily created beautiful island, with interesting past and future )Guest review byRezedaRussia

The castle is well worth a visit and the information boards were very useful. The monastery has a good history. The volcano is worth a visit but the coaches only give you limited time there. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, a craft beer bar which is worth a visit and a small bar called Nist which is well worth a visit.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Paloi is a small harbour and beach - seems very popular with people sailing the islands of the area. There is a small town beach which is well kept and then a further series of beaches aroudn the north east of the island. There are a couple of minimarkets, a bar (which was not open at night in September) and four tavernas. It is very peaceful and laid back and made a great base for our stay.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful traditional village, with the small streets and passages. Ideal for families or people who would like a quiet, but yet interessting place. I find Emporios perfect spot to stay on the island, as it`s in between Nikia and Mandraki. It`s close to the beach village Paloi, as well as crater. There is even a bus free of charge few times a day to Nikia, Mandraki and Paloi (not to the crater though). We loved restaurant "Balcony" that was at the main square of the village (by the church) and we returned many times to eat during our short stay in Nisyros.Guest review byNevena - 10.0

It has a great deal of the character of old Greece, with many modern twists. There are some interesting shops, selling local crafts and other worthwhile souvenirs. Restaurants and tavernas serve all the usual fayre, along with excellent fresh, local seafood. One treat was watching the sunset from the various bars whilst enjoying a sundowner. It is a photographer's paradise, as is the whole island. It is quite small, with a tiny beach so a couple of days would probably be long enough for most people. We hired a car for a day and visited the volcano before the tourist boats arrived and transferred people to buses for their tour. I would certainly recommend a car rather than a coach trip. The roads are quiet and well made.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Where to begin from the time you come off the ferry time stops! This is the place to relax and enjoy life! There are no clocks on Nisyros ☺️☺️. You are here to slow down and enjoy the small island vibes and eat well and wind down!Guest review bykathleenUnited States
