The owner and his wife were very kind and generous. He told us how to get around the island and gave good tips for restaurants etc. The property has lots of flowering trees and is surrounded by vegetable- and fruit-growing areas and chickens. You have a view up to the monastery and Chora, and it's very close to the port. We were able to use the hotel as a base waiting for the evening ferry.

I stayed with my two children aged 6 and 12 at Stefanos Katsaros Studios for 5 nights in July. They picked us up at the port even though the ferry arrived in Patmos hours before the usual check in time and we were allowed an early check in, which I am really grateful for. The hotel's location is ideal if you don't have a car as there's a beautiful natural beach within walking distance and it is only a few minutes walk away from the centre. It is located in a nice, quiet residential neighbourhood. I felt very safe walking with my children to and from the hotel at night. Our room was nicely decorated; The kitchen was well equipped with all the basic amenities and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is well maintained and very clean; It is run by a wonderful, very kind and helpful family. We were allowed to keep our luggage at the hotel while we were waiting for the ferry to arrive on our last day. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Stefanos Katsaros Studios. We will definitely stay there again if we travel to Patmos next summer.

The place is on the pilgrim's route and accessible, with a short uphill walk, from the road. The views are splendid and it is really interesting for those liking to observe locals and tourists on their route to the cave. For pilgrims, it is the perfect location. The lady who worked the night shift was very helpful and friendly. We arrived on the overnight ferry from Piraeus at 2:00am. and she made us feel so welcome. We were a family of 6 spanning 3 generations and all were very happy with the Hotel. From the breakfast which was very good through to a late afternoon dip in the pool, all more than made for a great experience. Location and quiet setting, perfect.
